1939年当他得知希特勒已经发现核裂变有可能研制核武器的消息后，毅然给罗斯福总统写信，建议美国加快研制原子弹，促成了曼哈顿计划的完成，使美国士兵进攻日本本土的伤亡减少了数十万，无辜的日本人民也免遭毁灭之灾。

九公元前140年，封建社会处于上升期，从汉武帝刘彻开始建元到1911年封建末期最后一个皇帝溥仪———宣统三年，都是以皇帝在位而命名的。

主要是说，时间的不可逆性，无法分割，飞速向前
打个浅显比方，只有美少女变成老太婆，而老太婆绝不可能变回美少女。
这种向前流动不可倒退的巨变特征，与希腊赫拉克利特关于时间的俏皮的思辨不谋而合：“人不能两次踏进同一条河流。
”（《著作残篇》第93）十一庄子说得更妙：“人生天地之间，若白驹过隙，忽然而已。
”（《知北游》）约•昆•亚当斯在《沙漏》中唱道：“一曲未终，白驹已过千里。
童年、青春和壮年都已过去，岁月在额头上犁下了深沟；过去时间已经过去，未来的时间还会来临。

可现在的时间，又在哪里呢
”是啊，当我们说“现在时”，现在已经变成过去了。
波兰诗人乔•赫伯特有一句形容时间慢而韧的言简意赅的比喻，他说“时间是一把无声的锉刀”。
呜呼———现实总是不完美的，所以普希金曾经为一位小女孩的纪念册题诗写道：“心，永远憧憬着未来；现在，却常是阴沉；一切都是瞬息

古人将天地六合叫做宇，古往今来称为宙。
陈子昂登上了幽州台，不禁发出慷慨壮烈的悲歌：“前不见古人，后不见来者

”仅仅四句，千古绝唱
不知感动了多少共鸣的先觉者。

从他对时间的天才感受，我似乎找到了答案的端倪。
他说：“天地者，万物之逆旅；光阴者，百代之过客。

”（《赠王汉阳》）“弃我去者，昨日之日不可留”……“抽刀断水水更流”……“君不见黄河之水天上来，奔流到海不复回。
君不见高堂明镜悲白发，朝如青丝暮成雪。
”（《将进酒》）透彻而达观，神奇而可爱，形象多么生动、丰富、鲜活、深邃而又充满活力
面对疾驰的时光、窘迫的处境、愁苦的心绪，古今中外的诗人，有谁像李白这样活得如此潇洒、瑰丽、自信而浪漫
十三当今世界兴起了汉语热，绝非任何力量的炒作可以造成的。
汉文化源远流长，既古老又年轻，五千多年从未中断。
仅从时间这一视角来看，中华成为世界上最勤奋自强的民族之一，同中国人对时间认知的智慧和对时间把握的珍爱有直接关系。
“天行健，君子以自强不息。
”（《周易•乾》）将天体运行与人的生命融和为一。
（舒按：西汉的董仲舒炮制的“天人感应”论，那是为了造神的需要，不足为训）十四大约在尧时中国就产生了阴阳历，用以取代了落后的火历，完成了由神所主宰的天，向大自然主宰之天的伟大转变。
在公元前二十一世纪，中国人就探索到了天与人的辩证关系。
以后，他们对时间的科学性、实用性和形象性，不断深化丰富。
汉文化这座灿烂宝库的光辉，使外国的有识之士由艳羡、倾慕到学习、消化，从而运用和发展，搞得中国人也来不及骄傲了。
================================================ 时间的联想：（洛夫－“雪楼小品 《台湾文学选刊》） 近日在一篇文章中读到有关时间的话话，相当精辟：“时间是最好的证人。
它有时像虑网般做着淘汰，有时则如天平一样让人在未来得到公平。
时间会慷慨地给人机会，但若它的慷慨得不到预期的回报，它就会收回这些慷慨。
时间最痛恨的，乃是它的善心在背叛里被辜负。
”其实，与其说作者在谈时间，不如说他在谈人，谈人的机遇和自身修养，谈因果关系。
时间是什么
时间就是生存，就是从生到死的一段距离。
复杂一点说，时间是从生到死期间所存在的神秘、诡秘、惊险、无奈，短暂的欢乐、长期的悲苦、永远的追求。
正因为如此，某些达人人便以一种保留态度处事，凡事退一步想，主张所谓“半”的人生哲学，为人处事，千万不可求全求满。
据说日本书道有一派以禅为宗旨，书法的特色是一篇字总留有几处败笔，如刻意的胀墨与枯笔，其禅机也许就在暗示：人生没有百分之百的圆满。
李密蓭写有一篇《半半歌》：“看破浮生过半，半之受用无边，半生岁月尽悠闲，半里乾坤开展，”又说“衣裳半素半鲜，肴馔半丰半简，童仆半能半拙，妻儿半朴半贤，心情半佛半仙，姓氏半藏半显...”要做到这“半”的标准，也非人人可达，至少是中产阶级以上的人，才有资格把人生的享受减半。
饮酒固然半酣正好，吃饭可不能半饱半饥；姓氏可半藏半显，做人可不能半真半假。
有一事物尤其不能以二分法处理，那就是时间不能半流半驻。
人生最无奈之事，就是无法像水坝管制水量一样的管制时间。
许多帝王追求生命的永恒而不可得，殊不知永恒一直在我们的掌心溜来溜去，当我们刚一悟到它的存在时，它已经从我们的指缝间溜走了。
