主人人物是，一个叫绮勋察的妻子秀贤，他的佳喜。
另有一个照相馆的女老板庆熙，及庆熙的丈庆熙有个朦胧的情人，自己曾邀其为自己拍裸照，后被自己的丈夫窥得蛛丝马迹。
庆熙的丈夫在外边也有个秘密的小情人，他的这个情人还有一个男朋友。
一天，庆熙的丈夫因故被他情人的男朋友打伤，对方行凶后误以为己将其打死，离开了现场。
庆熙到现场后，在其夫重伤的情况下，一时冲动杀了他。
杀他是因为害怕，厌倦，想跳出现在的生活模式。
于是，警察绮勋开始着手调查此案。
秀贤与佳喜当初同性恋，后来绮勋成了佳喜的男朋友。
秀贤为阻止佳喜与绮勋走到一起，用尽心计将绮勋“抢至”自己身边，终与之结婚，期间一直与佳喜保持着地下同性恋的关系。
秀贤之所以选择了与绮勋结婚，一是为阻止佳喜回归到双性恋轨道，二是可以用自己的丈夫为诱饵，使得佳喜继续与自己维系同性恋关系。
婚后，秀贤更不惜背着自己的丈夫流掉第一个孩子，来逃避男女两性之爱及正常的婚姻家庭生活。
绮勋表面上游刃于秀贤与佳喜之间，自以为高明，其实他和佳喜都成了自己妻子的棋子。
直到影片最后将近半个小时（估计），很戏剧性地一个急转直下，达到高潮。
讲的是：警察得了奖后，情人找他相会。
两人开车至一僻静场所，警察打开车后备箱，取出其实本是送老婆的娃娃，给情人做生日礼物。
两人拥吻，倒入后备箱。
不料就此两人被锁在了里面，将近三天。
后警察的同事们找到他们，把警察救了出来，情人已自杀死亡。
锁在车里的这一段时间，情人流产，下身流了不少血。
她也将警察妻子的秘密说了出来。
原来情人跟他老婆曾经是一对同性恋。
老婆一直放不下情人，通过情人认识了警察后，为了能留住情人而嫁给了警察。
而情人却已经深爱上了警察，“改邪归正”了。
片后，刑警在情人的房间里，凄厉地痛哭，让人不禁叹之。
生命中有许多东西是无法圆满的，失去了也就无法再得到，若重拾之，面对自己的将是痛苦和对往事的无尽的悔恨。
