《神秘博士》13年圣诞特辑中博士说只能重生13次，那么第八季这会走最后一任博士了
原本Matt Smith已经是最后一任，每个时间领主有13条命，可以重生12次，1到9任9条命，10任在新版第四季末尾被Dalek重伤重生过一次，因为有断手在，所以没有变脸，然后时之终结变为11任，也就是12条命。
最后在50周年特别篇《博士之日》中知道8任和9任之间还有一位博士，命为战争博士，通称8.5任。
所以13条命已经用完了，11任是最后一条命。
博士之时11任原本是在等死，但是Clara向时间裂缝说了一番话后，里面咖喱星的时间领主向博士传送了一道强大的时间能量，使博士拥有了新的重生周期，也就是又有了13条命。

神秘博士第七季13集最后出现的老头什么人
John Hurt演的老头是第八代博士重生以后的下一代博士，可以说是“真正的第九代”。
他是在96电影版的8th之后，05电视剧第一季的9th之前。
但是因为当时正好在打Time War，八代博士在重生的时候选择重生成完全的“战士型”博士（10th在圣诞大战特辑里面重生时候和外星人单挑被砍掉一只手，然后重新长出一只“战士型”右手，才单挑赢的）。
这个“真正的9th”才参加了时间大战，最后毁灭了咖喱星。
因为他是战士型的，而且杀了很多人，和博士的本意相悖不能称为博士，他重生以后的新一代博士（就是第一季里那个短发）直接忽略了他成为第九代博士。

新版第八季结尾只有博士和法师两个时间领主。
新版里三个博士同时出现的那集是神秘博士50周年特辑，叫做博士之日，那三个博士分别是第10任，第11任和战争博士。
故事是从第七季结尾开始的，clara跳进了博士自己的历史里，发现了战争博士（第八任和第九任之间的那个家伙），而战争博士使用暴力手段终结时间大战，这是一段历任博士都不愿意回忆的黑历史，最后战争博士在第十任和第十一任的共同努力下放弃了毁灭自己的母星，而是选择把星球冰冻起来

剧情就是说Clara死后，Doctor被关进了自己的忏悔罗盘里，后来他发现这是他的族人向他打听关于“混血”这种生物而设下的圈套，他宁死不屈，利用罗盘里的机器不断循环了45亿年，打碎了通往Gallifrey的坚硬矿物墙，回到了Gallifrey，驱逐了导致时间之战的总统拉瑟朗，并利用时间领主的科技提取了Clara，于是被族人追杀，他和Clara逃进了修道院，Doctor又偷了一台Tardis，把Clara带到时间尽头企图避免她的死亡。
但在时间尽头，Clara并没有恢复心跳。
此时Doctor听到了四声敲门声，外面是永生的Lady Me，他们进行了一番讨论后，Doctor表示要删除Clara的记忆，但是这件事被Clara偷看到了，最后记忆提取器被反转，是Doctor被删除了记忆。
Clara和Lady Me把他送回了地球，Clara假装不认识失忆的Doctor，并和他在伪装成美国餐厅的原始Tardis里聊天，等Doctor离开餐厅，Clara进了原始Tardis，餐厅（原始Tardis）消失，并留下了外表漆有花纹和Clara头像的Doctor's Tardis，Doctor进了Tardis，里面有新的音速起子，于是他又驾驶Tardis启程了。
而原始Tardis里的Clara表示她在死亡之前还要做许多事，于是和Lady Me驾驶原始Tardis也启程了……
