女孩无力的生活环境以及冷漠看待一切的态度 她出卖自己的身体和灵魂 不为所动的表面实际却又暗自痛苦着。
而影片中几乎没有配乐 这也更体现了惨白而冰冷的整个影片氛围 同时也反映了社会的冷漠和压抑的现实感。
最为强烈的一幕应该就是女孩的男友死之前自己默默悲痛流泪与不知所措，这里情感色彩占据着上风，但当男友去后 似乎一切又归为零 现实依然是现实 自己依然得面对无力的生活以及不得不需求的物质，以至于在之后可以忘却一切 面无表情的再向另一个的男人吐出同样的话语“will you marry me
” 女孩半夜爬起来穿起了内裤 这幕略微不经意的画面却又表明着其心理的暗示，存在于冰冷的社会 做出违心的行为 但是内心却又渴望着被谁庇护着 这部看似占据上风的影片 在这里女孩这种就算是毫无意义的作为 实际上却又像是想要维护着自己最后的仅存的女权心理一样。
至于结尾那里个人认为 女孩歇斯底里的原因其一是因为得知自己工作的内幕 即是送这些的年老男人死去 陪其走完人生最后一晚，但另一点我认为是 女孩心爱的男友死前 女孩褪去上衣依偎在其怀里让男友慢慢的死去，这种作为让女孩内心痛苦却又无能为力 但这却也是自己仅能为其所做的最后一件事。
而女孩最后在陪睡的房间醒来，无需任何解释 她便下意识的得知自己工作的一切内幕 一瞬间伴随而来的我认为不仅仅是惊讶与恐惧，更多的会是一种撕心的回忆。
这就好像一个在梦里不停地梦见自己杀了人的人 在醒来的瞬间却得知一切皆为现实的这种欲疯般的冲击感。
女孩曾痛苦的感受着男友死在自己的体温下 而如今的自己却又在做着这种陪死的工作。
强烈的现实与内心相冲的讽刺让人不禁觉得很心痛。

而这里被揭露的真相不仅仅是讽刺着这些占据主导性的的变态性癖和当下社会的种种病态现象。

女孩来到的家里，喝一点药睡去，然后一个性无能的老年男性会对她做些私人的事，一般是满足性要求，但是做什么是他们的秘密。
很好奇睡着的时候他们做了什么，于是买了个秘密录影机，安在花瓶上。
那天的克拉尔表现也很怪，因为她知道那个雇主想结果自己，在影片中央也就是陪睡的第一个人就是这个老人，他当时讲了一个很长的故事，结尾时对克拉尔说，有一天我会需要你的帮助，就是说他需要审视他一生后在这死去。
