阿拉丁是一个贫穷的阿拉伯少年，可是他有着善良、正直的好品德。
一天在王宫外的阿拉伯市场上，他浑然不觉卷入了一桩大阴谋。
凭直觉他感到公主和国王正面临着困难，他天真善良地想帮助他们，却被图谋篡夺王位的宰相认作死敌，而阿拉丁还把阴险的宰相当作朋友，结果遭到宰相的暗算。
在绝境中，阿拉丁得到在油灯中沉睡了千年的灯神的帮助成为王子，重返宫殿，终于与公主一起用智慧战胜了宰相。
