《好好先生》的幕后团队则堪称强大，制片人理查德·扎努克已经凭《为戴茜小姐开车》拿到过一个奥斯卡最佳影片奖，另一个制片人戴维·海曼更是颇有实力，制作过《哈利·波特》系列和威尔·史密斯的《我是传奇》。
就连影片的执行制片人布鲁斯·贝尔曼也有《糊涂侦探》这样的重量级作品。
说到影片的演员阵容，除了金·凯瑞以外并没有明星，只有出演女主角蕾妮的佐伊·德斯夏奈尔(在《赖家王老五》中有惊艳表现)似乎是颗明日之星。
但说到底，在一部金·凯瑞电影中，谁还要看其他的明星，而又有哪个明星抢戏能抢过他呢。
从小说到电影 影片《好好先生》改编自美国著名的幽默讽刺作家丹尼·华莱士的同名热卖作品，小说真实揭示美国社会中那些自私和特立独行的年轻人的短处。
华莱士表示，“在以往自己说‘不’的地方改说成‘好’非常困难。
有时候需要硬着头皮去和别人交流沟通。
现在的人过于独立，导致了他们无法和别人合作。
他们都是一个一个单独的堡垒。
”在小说里，华莱士一开始就以第一人称表达了这种单独和绝望，可是随着他发誓要说“好”之后，他的世界就改观了。
导演佩顿·里德认为，“华莱士的小说给整个影片提供了一个非常好的基础，在这个基础之上，我们进行了一些符合观众口味的改动。
做了一些让这个角色更适合金·凯瑞扮演的修整。
加进去了更多的喜剧元素。
”导演这么做，无非是想保证圣诞档期的影片票房，可是这样做，也消弱了原著的反思力度。
对此，佩顿·里德表示，“娱乐一点，也无可厚非。
况且在轻松中能获得一些对生活和人生的思考，更符合现代观众的观影要求。
那些晦涩难懂的电影，可能不会太招美国青少年的喜爱。
再说，让金姆·凯瑞出演本片，就决定本片肯定是一部喜剧。
吉姆几乎没有演过一本正经的影片，可能那部《楚门的世界》是一个特例吧。
” 趣味环生的片场 在片场，由于有金·凯瑞的存在，剧组里笑声不断。
“最好笑的事情是金用弹簧跳下高架桥的那段，”剧组的工作人员说，“他坚持自己出演这个有些危险的镜头，坚决不用替身，我们也就依了他。
在影片中，他只跳了一下，可是在现场他跳了两下，就在那第二跳的时候，他的手机从裤兜里飞了出来，当时大家都笑得不行了。
导演也顺便对剧本做了一些小的改动，把手机事件这个意外变成了影片中的笑料”。
影片的音乐由Munchausen和Proxy共同编写。
同时，这两个人组成的乐队也是金·凯瑞在影片里被那个经理邀请去看演出的主演乐队。
在片场，金真的成为了这个来自旧金山的女子乐队的超级粉丝。
这支在小说中被捏造出来的乐队由Zooey Deschanel担任主唱，她在片场附近的居民区里临时找来了个键盘手。
拍完乐队的场景之后，这位临时的键盘手还参与到了影片原声的制作之中。
其他 金·凯瑞在片中表演了他独特的弹簧跳绝技。
金·凯瑞坚持不要固定片酬，而是要从影片的票房收入中分成。
当拍摄金·凯瑞弹着吉他，阻止一个企图跳楼自杀的人的场景时，楼下聚集了一堆不名真相的围观群众，并造成了交通堵塞。
当地不得不派出警察维持秩序。
第二天，金·凯瑞的“见义勇为”的行为就被登上了报纸。
电影的发行也为小说作者丹尼·华莱士带来了效益，靠影片搭卖的小说《好好先生》已经由英国的Ebury出版社出版，并于12月4日开始销售。
