你先别说我装B： 我从2005年11月第一次看到这个电影之后的近六年间，经历了很多人和事情，在我的行业里，大家都是approval Junkies， 像影片中的Macca 的人大有人在，所以这种心态，这种心魔，我略知一二。
但是知道两周前看过一些心理教育的书之后，我才能真正的理解这部影片。
首先要明白按照创作者的意图，这个影片里面有四个人物，是同一个人——Jake, Zack, Avi, 和在每一个人物心里的Sam Gold, 都在Jake 的脑子里。
整个故事是Jake 逐渐悟出，自己脑子里的“勇”-Zack 和“谋”- Avi， 在给自己设计一个局，最终要战胜自己的心里的 “牢” - Sam Gold. 于此同时，被卷入这个局的Macca 和其他人，因为没有足够的“勇” 和 “谋” 所以最终被Sam Gold 完全控制住，死在自己的心“牢”中。
最难接受这个故事的人不是观众，而是Jake本人。
Jake早在他七年单间牢狱之前，是个Macca的雇员，Jake 的兄弟受不了Macca手下3 eddies 的压力，Jake 不得已为Macca效力，过程中出枪伤人，被警局问话，由不敢兜出幕后的组织者Macca, 进了班房替罪不说，还殃及了嫂子（弟妹）。
在这段，你要问的问题是，究竟是谁让Jake 决定： 1. 效力Macca 2. 严守秘密，保护 Macca 3. 出枪伤人 简单的答案是 Jake 自己， 我们先留着这个答案，继续看。
进了班房以后，出现了两个人物， 隔壁单间里面，从未谋面的象棋大师和诈骗大师，他们许诺带着Jake 逃出监狱，但是两个人一句话没留消失了，还套走了Jake所有的钱。
Jake 没有气馁，用从他们那里学到的大师技巧骗了三个Eddy - 不但敛了财，还复了仇，自己全身而退。
出狱两年后的Jake 觉得自己已经实力大增，Jake 带着伙计们上了 Macca的赌场。
问题：Jake出于什么动机来到Macca的赌场
是否出于同样的动机骗了三个Eddy? Macca 对Jake 很焦虑，动用杀手界头牌枪神Sorter 出马，要灭Jake. 这时某明奇妙的出现了两个怪卡—— Zack 救了Jake, 说服他有绝症，活命的唯一办法就是跟Zack 和 Avi 混 -- 把钱送给两个放高利贷的。
