这部《boy hood》也的确有其独到之处。
往常我很少看超过两个小时的电影，然而这部长达三个小时的成长记事薄看下来却觉得异常平静，没觉得特别好看，但也完全没有想过要快进。
这大概跟我把“爱在”三部曲坚持看完了有关，对于大量的对白的表现形式有了一定的接受能力（有时候也会当英语听力练习），相对于“爱在”里男女主角突破天际的艺术性发散思维能力和超越人类极限的话唠程度而言，这部电影里的对白简直正常得我热泪盈眶，生活的不能再生活了，终于不再动不动就开始跟一个妹子高谈阔论宇宙的熵值如何计算或者对人类世界未来50年的各种恐怖预测等等诸如此类可怕的神之话题了。
当然这并不足以动摇“爱在”三部曲的经典地位，在那些絮絮叨叨的闲言碎语之间我们突然就能够平静下来，这便是这位导演的功力所在。
