但也许这正是张爱玲文字的魅力，张扬的，阴暗的，却又是如此真实，探测到人内心的最深处。
这篇文章用笔细致，只用了比喻和拟人，就把秋雨写得栩栩如生，又带入了一层沉闷而寂寥的色彩。
于这文来说，充满了灰色、忧郁，黯然，寥落，一种生活无厘头的滑稽，唯一萌芽的一束希望之光，仅是那株低矮的无人问津的桂花树。
