直至最后一场比赛，队友们感动于鲁迪的毅力而逼令教练让他上场，鲁迪终于让专程前来看他比赛的父兄看到了一个不可能的奇迹。
大卫．安斯保导演简洁有力地注释了“天下无难事，只怕有心人”的主题，肖恩．阿斯廷生动地塑造了鲁迪的形象和精神，演出十分感人。
