我和北京奥运Olympic ad Me我盼望着2008年8月8日快点到来。

这是北京奥运会开幕的日子，是世界体育大家庭聚会北京的日子，更是每一个中国人倍感骄傲的日子。

I am looking forward to the days coming of Aug.8TH 2008, the day Beijing Olympic games will be opened, the day Sports family gather in beijing, and the day All the Chinese feel proud.作为一个小主人，我真想成为一名光荣的奥运志愿者，可是到了那时，我还太小，不能成为一个真正的志愿者，但是，我依然可以为北京奥运会做出自己的贡献。

As a littke host , I really want to be honorable volunteer for it, however, I am still too young to be a real volunteer , but I can still contribute for it (according as I am able)首先，作为一个北京市的小市民，我要用我的热情、我的笑容迎接每一个来自世界各地的外国朋友，展示出我们北京人友好好客的精神风貌，让外国朋友们通过每一张北京人的笑脸感受北京。

First , as a citizen of Beijing, I will welcome every friend from all over the world with my enthusiasm and smile to show us beijing people’s friendship and hospitality. And let theforeigh friends know(feel) Beijing from the smile on our face其次，我要更加努力的学习英语，在奥运会举办期间，能够用英语和外国朋友们说话、交流，为他们提供我力所能及的帮助，比如：做个小翻译、帮外国人指路等等，让外国朋友通过每一个北京人热情的帮助喜欢北京。

Then\\\/second, I will study English harder.During the Olympic Games ,I can communicate with the foreigh friends in english and serve for them such as to be a interpreter and show them the way, let them love beijing more from our enthusiastic help

We have only one earth. But now, the environment becomes worse and worse. As you know, there's no enough clean water for people. So many of them lose their lives because of water. In a lot of countries, people have to cut trees for living. So there's nothing to keep water from running away. Also we have polluted the land, the river and the air. Some people may say: we are the masters of nature. Now the master seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control. the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings. Facing all the disasters made by ourselves, we have the responsibility to deal with the problem. we must do something useful to protect our environment. We can plant trees and take good care of them. We can save the water and ask our parents to do so. We can't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them for recycling. If we take good care of our earth today, it will be more beautiful tomorrow。

我们只有一个。

但是现在境变得越来越糟。

如你所知，有的清洁饮水的人。

所以许多人失去了他们的生命，因为水。

在很多国家，人们不得不砍树的生活。

所以没有什么能阻止水的流失。

我们还污染了土地，河流和空气。

有些人可能会说：我们是自然的主人。

现在的“主人”似乎面临的问题远远超出他的控制。

臭氧层的空洞使得地球不再适宜于某些生物包括人类生活。

面对着自己造成的灾难，我们有责任来处理这个问题。

我们必须做些什么来保护环境。

我们可以种树，好好照顾他们。

我们可以节约用水，并要求我们的父母这样做。

我们不能把垃圾丢在地上，我们应该收集回收。

如果我们好好照顾我们的地球上，这将是更加美好的明天。

My name is xiangxueyu and my english name is Tina, from Class 604, Grade six,shen jia ying Primary School. 我是xxx，xx小学班的学生。

I'm doing well in my study, besides I'm the monitor of my class and I get on well with my classmates. 我学习成绩优秀，是班上的班长并且我和同学们相处很融洽。

I'm a happy and talented girl. I'm good at drawing and many of my drawings have won prizes. At the same time, I like telling stories. 我是一个开朗又多才多艺的女孩，画画是我最擅长的，曾多次或奖。

Ancient Olympic Games and Pierre de CoubertinAncient Olympic GameThe history of the Ancient Olympic Games can be traced back over 3,000 years to ancient Greece.While celebrating physical excellence, they were mainly held for religious purposes.In 884 BC, the king of Elis reached a treaty with the kings of several other city states to hold regular athletic contests and to fulfill the sacred truce.That meant to cease fire in the Greek world for as long as the games were on.The Hellenic Olympic Games came into being soon afterwards.But Why were the games beld at Olympia?Because Olympia was one of the oldest religious centers in ancient Greece.Since athetic contests were regarded by the anient Greeks as a way to show their respects to their gods, especially Zeus, they chose Olympia, the site of the major temple, as the venue for the Games.The first recorded games were held in 776 BC. After that, they were held once every four years during the second or the third full moon after the summer solstice (in July or August).During their peak time in the fifth century BC, they games would last for five days.Just like in the Modern Olympic Games, winning athletes in the Ancient Olympic Games were regarded as heroes who put their hometowns on the map.However, only made citizens who spoke Greek and had not been convicted of any crime could compete in the games at that time.Athletes also had to meet other criteria. They were required to swear in front of the God.In addiition, they had to receive ten months' training before coming to Olympia. They also had to train for one month at the training site under the supervision of the judge.The games were held only at Olympia and did not move around to different places like nowadays.When the Romans incorporated the Greek mainland into their territory, the glory of ancient Olympic years came to an end.However, the Games continued to be celebrated until banned in 393 AD by the Roman Emperor for religious reasons.Later invaders pillaged the site of Olympia and finally, in the fourth century AD, earthquakes and floods covered the area.The site remained virtually undisturbed until 1875 when excavations uncovered the site which gave rise to the revival of the Games.
