My future As the song goes “ My future isn’t a dream .” I love the song which brings me confidence when singing it every time . I believe that all our dreams can come true if we have courage to pursue them .When I was young my father always asked me what I would be in the future . Sometimes I found it very hard to give a certain reply . “ I want to be a doctor .” “ I want to be a teacher .” and “ I ’d like to be a scientist !” Many of these answers are perhaps very childish and ridiculous . But I never think they are far away . How time flies! Who is able to give a definition to his future ? I know clearly that those high buildings are based on solid foundation . As a student , I should have a reasonable aim , and study hard . My goal is to enter the best university for further study after middle school . I know it’s hard work , and I ’ll come across many difficulties and frustrations . But no matter what they are , I’ll keep working on it and never give up . My teacher says there ’s only one kind of people that are truly successful : those who are brave enough to put up with hardships . Even if I won’t achieve the goal , I have no regrets for what I have done , for I have struggled for my life .

China is faced with some enormous challenges as it enters the 21st century. In order to ensure the prosperity of our nation and its future generations we must confront and ultimately solve these challenges. Some of the more pressing issues facing China are universal. These include environmental degradation, over population and the effects of globalization. To overcome some of the things we need to implement include: Enhancing our scientific and industrial technologies in such areas as IT, Bio- tech, AI and Cybernetics. Further develop public infrastructure in under developed regions. Promote education reform at all levels. Introduce sustainable development initiatives. The implementation of free trade agreement between China and ASEAN. The benefit to China in introducing these initiatives will be significant and far-reaching. It is important to realize that these initiatives need to filter down through all elements of the society in China. For instance, cutting edge technologies and intellectual properties; the development of e-commerce based economy; an education system that encourages innovation and creativity; increased foreign investment; higher living standards; more efficient use of natural resources. It is important for us to realize these reforms are both essential and necessary. These will help China to fulfill its vast and unrealized potential on the world stage. It will also contribute more to a globalized world of the new century. As for the future our task is not to foresee but to enable. 中国在迈向二十一世纪的同时，也面临着一些巨大的挑战，为了确保我国的繁荣及为子孙后代着想，我们必须面对挑战并最终从根本上解决它们。

1.My Dream Future I decided to be a middle teacher after college. There are many reasons contribute to this decision. Firstly, when I was a little girl, I have been dreaming of being a teacher. It seemed so fascinate to me and I hope I can make my dream come true. And, I like so much to be with middle school students. Most of the students at that age are full of youthful spirity and I am sure their passion would pass to me. I will retain all the zest of adolescence. The most important reason is that our country needs plenty of teachers. So far, teaching is considered a tough and low-income job in China. However, if we have not enough teachers, our future will lack of excellent scientist, managers, businessmen, soldiers and even goood workers and farmers. How can our country to be strong and wealthyI wish my country to be a better one. I am ready to be a teacher and hope all the persons with lofty ideals may dedicate themselves to this meaningful career. I hope my dream future will come ture 2.My Dream Future My ambition is to be a professor. I hope to be a famous professor. Why? So I will have too many students. I would be nice to my students. Public Speaking Good ladies, morning and gentlemen. What’s wrong? Did you realize I just made a mistake in my greeting? You may wonder why I would make such a silly mistake. You tell me why. Well, I was kind of nervous. Now you may wonder how come a teacher of my age would feel nervous facing the students. To tell you the truth, all the public speakers, including most eloquent ones like Barak Obama, Ronald Reagan, would feel nervous on the stage. And more often than not, nervousness may well make speakers commit silly blunders. This is caused by what we call stage fright\\\/fear. As a veteran teacher of English I find Chinese students usually feel reluctant to make a public speech whether in Chinese or in English. The main reason for this is Stage Fright, because they are not or less trained in delivering a public speech. You may have the impression that foreigners especially Americans are good at talking, particularly in public. This is because Public Speaking is a compulsory course in most of the American universities. As a matter of fact, kids are encouraged to make presentations in class even in their primary schools. So to help you overcome this barrier, we decided to open this course last year and this is the second round. For the next 30 minutes, I’d like to specify 4 things. They are five purposes of this course; the way the class will be conducted and the teaching schedule; the requirements for you to meet; and the composition of the final score, which you are most concerned. Let’s start with the five purposes, the first of which is to help you acquire the basic skills in preparing and delivering a speech effectively. There are eight things to keep in mind in this regard.
