I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation. 今天，我高兴地同大家一参加这次将成为我国历史上争取自由而举行的最伟示威集会。
Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the unalienable Rights of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked insufficient funds. 从某种意义上说，我们来到国家的首都是为了兑现一张支票。

And those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. 我们迎来了中华人民共和国63岁华诞；大江南北的中华儿女都在尽情高歌，为古老而年轻的祖国深深地祝福着
给我肤色的祖国，给我智慧与胆略的祖国。
沿着黄河与长江的源头，漂流而下，过壶口，闯关东，走三峡，奔大海。

在中华民族这几百年的历史里，涌现出了许许多多的英雄儿女，他们都是祖国的栋梁之才，受到人民的尊敬。
同时中国能发展到今天也离不开他们，是他们让中国变得强大，不再受外国人的欺辱，也是他们让祖国的未来变得更加辉煌，灿烂，现代科学家童第周，从一个后进生变成了轰动西方科学界的中国留学生，这股动力来自他坚定的信念，伟大的科学家钱学森，不畏艰辛远渡重洋，为国家奉献出了一生。
他们这些伟大的科学家，为了们的祖国做出了巨大的奉献。
随着时代的变迁，中国日益强大起来。
在2001年8月，我国申奥成功，2004年雅典奥运会上，我国的体育健儿一举获得了32枚金牌，使我国成为体育强国。
东方的巨龙正在崛起
祖国是我们的自豪，是我们的骄傲，不仅如此我国也在2003年10月15日把神州5号升上天空，还在2005年10月12日把神州6号升上天空，这如此大的成就，不得不让我们惊叹，神州5号，神州6号，不仅是个奇迹，也是中国跨向新世纪的第一步。
