Introduction of my hometown --YunchengYuncheng is seat in the south of Shanxi province, which is skirted on three sides by Lvliang Mountains and Taihang Mountains, with one side opening onto Yellow River, having the total area about 24,000 square kilometers. Yuncheng is the most famous place and local people believe that it was called China earliest in story.This ancient city has a approximately 5000 years history. From Chinese myth of Nvwa to Guanyu, archaeologists find many valuable sites here. This wide piece of land reserves antiquity records of human’s using fire, making salt, growing crops, feeding silkworms and est. unexaggratingly speaking, Yuncheng, also named Hedong, which means in the east of river, is the cradle of Chinese civilization.Compared with other cities, Yuncheng is the most richly endowed with some major natural resources for industry, especially energy resources such as iron, coal, and magnesium. Because of the abundance of sunshine and mild climate, Yuncheng has an ideal environment for many kinds of north fruits, like apple, to grow. Never showing his long life from the date of human’s birth, tourist industry benefiting from the well development of transportation system, becomes an important part in Yuncheng’s economy. 运城的名胜古迹及资料
山西是中华文明发祥地之一，春秋时为晋国，故简称晋。
悠久的历史留下众多的文化遗产，加上复杂的地形地貌、河流山川形成的自然景观，旅游资源十分丰富。
山西现存的古建筑居全国之首，列为国家重点保护的有50处，省级400多处。
四大佛教圣地之一的五台山，寺庙群集千年之萃。
其中，以我国现存最古的木构建筑南禅寺。
集北魏至清代多种建筑为一体的佛光寺及显通寺，塔院舍利塔最为有名；建于北魏的恒山悬空寺悬于悬崖峭壁之上，以惊险奇特著称；太原的晋祠是形式多样的古建筑荟萃的游览胜地；平遥古城是全国现存三座古城之一，被列为世界文化遗产名录；芮城永乐宫是典型的元代道观建筑群，宫内壁画是我国绘画艺术的珍品；永济普救寺是《西厢记》。
《莺莺传》故事发生地；解州关帝庙是全国规模最大的武庙；云岗石窟是全国三大佛教石窟之一，气势雄伟。
雕刻精细；应县木塔建于文代，高67.31米，是我国最高的古木构建筑；因拍摄《大红灯笼高高挂》而闻名的祁县乔家大院，加上祁县渠家大院。
灵石王家大院，太谷三多堂，共同组成山西晋中的大院民俗文化。
山西名山大川遍布，自然风光资源丰富优美。
北岳恒山是五岳之一，国家级风景名胜区；绵山气候宜人，自古就是避暑胜地，晋国名臣介于推携母被烧死于此山；北武当山、灵空山、管涔山等也各有特点；黄河壶口瀑布是仅次于黄果树瀑布的全国第二大瀑布，国家级风景名胜区：山西还建有庞泉沟、芦芽山、历山、莽河等自然保护区，风景秀丽。
景致各异，有古树名木，珍稀动物出没，褐马鸡是国家珍稀动物。
