Although in some sense, competition stimulates individuals to further efforts, I believe co-operation is more important. Co-operation plays an essential part in industrial development as well as communication between people. I vote for co-operation, firstly, because co-operation makes more prominent efforts for modernization and civilization of our society. A good illustration of it is mass production, a means of co-operation which produced far more products than that of individual work and caused the economy to grow at a fascinating speed during the second Industrial Revolution. Co-operation is not only an accumulation of labor force but also a combination of human wisdom. Exchanges in ideas ignite a sparkle of a new point of view in a certain field, which, in its turn, results in economic growth and broadens our horizon. Therefore, it is co-operation that brings prosperity to our society. Secondly, co-operation shortens the gap between every human being. We love each other not because we are all the same but because we are different. In this sense, co-operation severs as a bridge between our minds. By co-operation and communication, we are able to understand each other and learn from each other. In the process, collective spirit and teamwork are created, which boost the moral and above all, establish friendship between everyone. Thus, it is co-operation that brings love to our life. Furthermore, co-operation promotes good relationship between every nation. Peace and development, the two main streams in the present-day world, are based on co-operation. Without co-operation the world will be in a state of chaos with fierce competitions or even wars between nations. Consequently, it is co-operation that brings harmony to our world.
