周星驰北大经典演讲2005年9月21日晚，当周星驰出现在早已等候在北京大学百年纪念讲堂的将近3000名学生面前时，全场掌声雷动，欢呼声震耳，所有的人全部起立，表达他们对“星爷”强烈的热爱和欢迎。
周星驰也完全没有架子，还没等主办方介绍，就一脸笑容地站到台上说：“一听说北大的学生很喜欢看我的电影，我就马上赶来了
” 星驰的普通话水平足够和大家沟通，而且不但不像传说中的沉默寡言、性格内向，反而非常自然和风趣，随时随地表现出的幽默感，更是让全场不断响起如雷般的掌声和笑声。
在被问到“你的电影、尤其是《大话西游》让我们非常喜欢，而且其中的对白我们都能大段背诵，你对此是什么心情

虽然没有将《大话西游》中的那段被大家奉为“爱情圣经”的台词完整背完，但是他给大家表演了非常漂亮的踢腿动作，并像教学一样边做动作、边为大家解释：“这是拳击，这是侧踢，这是后踢。
”之后又故作神秘地对大家说：“其实是没有多少人真正知道我的功夫有多好的，哪能都给你们知道
” 在北大校方向周星驰赠送纪念品时，还有周星驰和北大学生见面会的开始和结束，“星爷”都深深地作了几个揖来表达他对北大的尊敬之意和仰慕之情。
而整个见面会，将近3000名观众也全都是站着听周星驰讲话。
虽然周星驰不承认自己是“喜剧之王”，但在众多“星迷”的眼中，再没有哪位喜剧明星可以替代“星爷”在自己心目中的位置，也不会有哪个“王”有本事能在北大的讲台上，掀起如此热烈和频繁的掌声、笑声、欢呼声与尖叫声
