多年后，芒格曾将婚姻和投资的过程进行比较，“ 生命就是一系列的机会成本，你应该和你所能找到的最合适的那个人结婚，投资差不多是同样的道理 。
”思维方式成就亿万富翁 如果说独立自我奠定了芒格成为伟大投资人的基础，那么是他的思维方式让他成为亿万富翁。
笔者强烈建议阅读《查理·芒格传》的朋友细细品味该书的附录三芒格的演讲稿，分别是《跨学科技能：教育的意义所在》和《关于务实思维能力的务实思考》。
而这也是该书译者翻译过程中印象最深刻的部分。
可以说，芒格仅此一项分析方法就会让众多的管理学家、市场营销专家、心理学家汗颜，也仅此一项就可以奠定他是位伟大的投资人，而能做到这一点的答案就在第一篇。
良心标杆最终成就伟大 富有独立自我精神的亿万富翁并不见得伟大，钱与伟大毫无关联。
在笔者看来，是芒格对公平的向往与良心最终成就了他。
投资与良心这两个词似乎离得很远，但在芒格身上，这是一个完美的结合。
上世纪80年代末，里根政府放宽储蓄贷款机构的信用扩张，投机的盛行导致该行业濒临破产，但美国储蓄机构联盟试图通过政治游说来阻挠对该行业的改制。
对此，芒格发布公开信宣布伯克希尔旗下的互助储蓄退出该联盟，并指出该联盟的诸多黑幕。
这封信最终推动了对该行业的改革，而芒格也因此成为投资界的良心标杆。
芒格坦白自己在某种程度上以道德检察官自居，追求财务自由却没有想到自己会成为亿万富翁，他参与社区工作，以此减轻因累积大量财富而带来的愧疚感，抚慰由于认为自己赚的比应得的多太多而产生不安的良心。
芒格非常同意富人有义务支持社会中无法通过市场资本实现的那些方面。
