The government has decided no environmental pollution will occur in building and operating Olympic stadiums and projects.It is reported that 14100 tons of garbage are produced every day in Beijing. Experts suggest earthworms should be used to help handling the garbage because they can eat some wastes. This method has already been a success during Sydney Olympics2000. Garbage recollection has also developed. Many volunteers gather and work together for Greener Beijing. They say to the public, “Don’t litter. Don’t spit. Don’t use disposable chopsticks.” We students and citizens should bear in mind to protect the environment. Try not to use the plastic bag and even the paper cards. We can use the cloth bag and E-cards in Internet instead. We should recollect the wasted batteries and paper. We should also save the energy and use more solar energy in our life.Through our joint efforts, Beijing will become a garden city. In the daytime, people can smell the fragrant flowers in the air. Birds can be heard chirping and singing in the trees. In the evening, children can sit on the lawn to count stars in the blue sky.
