曾经，去过我家乡游玩的朋友说我家乡真是个好地方，风景多么的壮丽，天空多么的蔚蓝。
我在心底莞尔。
不，我家乡最美的风景是人。
思乡，思乡，在外飘泊的辛酸常常因为想起了家而熬了过来，却也同时多了一份苦涩。

” 作者简介 闻一多（1899—1946）， 原名闻家骅，湖北浠水人，中国现代诗人、思想家。
1912年考入清华学校。
1922年赴美留学，先后入芝加哥美术学院、科罗拉多大学美术系学习，同时创作了大量爱国思乡的诗歌。
1924年，诗人的诗集《红烛》出版，奠定了诗人在中国现代诗歌史上的地位。
1925年诗人回国，任北京艺术专科学校教务长，曾参与创办《大江》杂志，同时与徐志摩等在北京《晨报》上开设副刊《诗镌》。
1927年去武汉国民革命军政治部工作，同年任南京国立中山大学外文系主任。
1928年参与创建“新月社”，和徐志摩等创办《新月》杂志，同年出版诗集《死水》。
此后诗人放弃诗歌创作，埋头钻研学术，先后任武汉大学、青岛大学文学院院长，清华大学中文系教授。
抗战期间，诗人带领最后从北京离开的学生徒步前往云南，任西南联合大学中文系教授。
1944年加入民盟。
1946年7月15日，诗人抗议国民党暗杀民盟党员李公仆，在李的追悼会上演说著名的《最后一次演讲》，回家途中遭国民党特务枪杀。

诗人准备出版自己的第一部诗集，在回顾自己数年来的理想探索历程和诗作成就时，就写下了这首名诗《红烛》，将它作为同名诗集《红烛》的序诗。
诗的开始就突出红烛的意象，红红的，如同赤子的心。
闻一多要问诗人们，你们的心可有这样的赤诚和热情，你们可有勇气吐出你的真心和这红烛相比。

红烛要烧，烧破世人的空想，烧掉残酷的监狱，靠自己的燃烧救出一个个活着但不自由的灵魂。
红烛的燃烧受到风的阻挠，它流着泪也要燃烧。
那泪，是红烛的心在着急，为不能最快实现自己的理想而着急，流泪。
诗人要歌颂这红烛，歌颂这奉献的精神，歌颂这来之不易的光明。
在这样的歌颂中，诗人和红烛在交流。
诗人在红烛身上找到了生活方向：实干，探索，坚毅地为自己的理想努力，不计较结果。
诗人说：“莫问收获，但问耕耘。
” 这首诗有浓重的浪漫主义和唯美主义色彩。
诗歌在表现手法上重幻想和主观情绪的渲染，大量使用了抒情的感叹词，以优美的语言强烈地表达了心中的情感。
