Saving the earthAs you know ,the earth day passed by 6 days ago.We have only one earth , but now the environment becomes worse and worse !With the development of technology today, our lives have become more and more comfortable.we’re wearing beautiful clothes, eating delicious food, and playing modern toys. Most of us think that we human beings are the cleverest living creatures in the world. Sure there is no doubt that we are wise. We have created a large number of successful things. On the other hand, we are also destroying the environment. What can you guess are the biggest threats to the environment nowadays? In my opinion,they are polluted drinking water, poor sanitation and air pollution. First let’s come to the problem of polluted drinking water.Nowadays ,more and more people died of polluted water.and according to a survey,some of the cancer were caused by the polluted water! Do you know why the drinking water is polluted and even poisonous? The reason is very simple. More and more factories are being built in cities as well as in countryside. They have no place for disposing of toxic waste. so they consider the rivers as the best place for such waste. Day in and day out the water gets dirtier. Most old men and women can still remember how clean the water was in their childhood. They could drink directly from the rivers without boiling it. But now everything has changed… As for the poor sanitation, most children realize they should not litter everywhere. While the adults always ignored this aspect.then i want to ask a question ,how about us ,the one who accept the higher education !the answer i needn’t to say clealy! Perhaps the biggest problem is air pollution.because many diseases spread through the air.like AH1N1,SARS... As we all know that ,there are many reasons for air pullution,like factories,cars ...so i think you must know what should we do now! If each of us make a small change in our own lives , we’ll make a big difference . If we take good care of our earth today ,it will be more beautiful tomarrow ,we all know that flowery words are useless,what we ‘ve done in protecting our environment is far from enough.so,please,everyone,taking actions to save our earth----our mother earth!

For most of us , saying no” is very difficult. We don’t want to offend or disappoint people. As a result, we have to spend too much of our time and energy on doing things, which seriously interferes our work. But it requires a great time and energy for us to pursue our goal. In fact, not only do we have to devote most of our time but also our heart and soul. Therefore, even if a request is legitimate and important, sometimes we just have to say “no” in order to prevent too great a toll on our time. And it is possible to decline a request in ways that do not seem rude or unkind. Here are some nice ways to say “no”. You may pay a compliment as you say “no”. Take a university professor, Delores, for example, when someone calls asking him to serve on their board, and he knows that he just can’t do it. He often say, “ I’m so glad you thought of me. I am a big fan of your orgnization, but my schedule just won’t allow me to accept your invitation.” You may also decline in a positive way. For example, “That’s a good product, but it’s not something we can use at this time,” is a gentle way to say “no”. Buy yourself some time. Seldom do you have to give a yes or no answer on the spot. Even if you feel strongly that your answer will be no. Buy yourself sometime by saying “Let me think about it”, “Let me talk it over with my family” and so on.
