在中国水科院这个小小的世界里，不太熟悉他的人，说不出他的单位，道不出他的姓名，而所有与他相识的人，都会为他的真诚感动。
他不善张扬，做什么事都是默默无闻、踏踏实实。
对待事业，他总是潜心探索，孜孜不倦。
和他在一起，你会感到他的为人质朴，他的学识渊博。
做为一名共产党员，他以身作则，处处严格要求自己。
他是我们值得信赖的好同事、好朋友。
他就是赵顺安，水力学所冷却塔研究室的主任。
赵顺安在1985年就读于中国水科院研究生部，是国内冷却塔方向最早的硕士研究生，毕业后被分配到冷却塔研究室，开始从事冷却塔研究工作。
多年来，他一直从事工业循环水的流体力学、环境水力学研究和冷却塔设备及部件的开发研制工作。
多年的研究与实践，使其在冷却塔的理论计算上有较深的造诣，在冷却塔检测方面积累了丰富的经验。
正因为其突出的业绩，使其在国内冷却塔专业学术界享有很高的威望，目前他是中国土木工程学会工业给排水委员会委员，中国电机工程学会工业冷却塔委员会委员。
2000年，院实施科技体制改革，他担当起冷却塔研究室主任的职务，面对激烈的市场竞争，他带领全室同志积极承揽项目，以极大的工作热情，投入到艰苦的科研工作中。
几年下来，冷却塔研究室扩宽了科研方向，人均合同额也明显上升。
在这当中，赵顺安付出了巨大的艰辛。
去年，在进行《正蓝发电厂水源地水质全分析》项目时，他多次驱车前往内蒙取水，其中平添了几分艰辛。
第一次是他和副所长一道去取水，他们拿下任务后已是中午时分，为了赶时间，他们马上起程去内蒙，行至半路，天上开始下起雪。
在蜿蜒的盘山路上，好天时都让人揪心，更别提是雪天了。
车在雪路上显然快不起来，况且又是冬天，天很快便黑了下来。
一辆小小的车子慢慢地行驶在漆黑的大山里，换了谁都不会轻松。
当车行驶到大山深处一个急转弯且又是大上坡的地方，由于路陡，车子终于抗不过路面的积雪，车轱辘在原地打转，怎么也上不去。
这样，只好有劳副所长下来推车，雪越下越大，四周漆黑一片，只有两只车灯，惊奇地瞪着眼睛，直视着飘逸的雪花，不敢眨一下眼。
终于推上来了，车子继续前行，象一颗流星，消失在漫漫的夜幕中。
后来，在一个风和日丽的日子再去内蒙，又路过那个急转弯处，他才看到真实的路况，在这爬坡、转弯再爬坡的道路外沿，就是山石陡峭的悬崖峭壁，稍有闪失，后果不敢想象，不禁有些后怕。
取水工作是分期进行的，尤以冬天辛苦。
内蒙的冬季寒风凛凛，长期生活在北京的人很难适应，就是在这样恶劣的条件下，他带领他的同事们克服了困难，在寒冷的冰面上凿冰取水，将检测水样按时按质地带回了北京。
冬天辛苦，夏天更不易。
在确保《正蓝发电厂水源地水质全分析》、《大同一电厂直接空冷装置空气动力试验》和《逆流式自然通风冷却塔热力计算及网格填料试验》等多项科研任务顺利进行的同时，赵顺安带领全室同志在最炎热的7月至9月共进行了岳阳石化、兰州石化、上海石化、北京燕化和山西阳城电厂五项冷却塔测试工作。
在整个冷却塔测试工作中，他们急业主之所急，连续作战，与烈日为伍，与冷却塔内的水蒸气为伴，冒着酷暑，克服了重重困难，圆满地完成了冷却塔测试工作，其严谨的工作作风和按时按质提交的测试成果，得到了业主的一致好评。
随着业务面的不断扩宽，赵顺安又带领全室承担了多项计算任务和流道试验工作。
由于时间紧，项目多，为了按时完成任务，他每天工作到很晚，大部分的节假日都是在所里度过的。
他工作起来会忘记其它的一切，科研人员的那份辛苦和执着，在他身上表现的淋淋尽致。
