Rock and Roll Rock and roll is a form of music that evolved in the United States in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It quickly spread to the rest of the world. It’s root lies in Blues, Jazz and Country music. Classic rock and roll is played with two electric guitars, one lead, one rhythm, an electric bass guitar and a drum kit. Some bands also use the keyboard. Rock music usually has a strong back beat and simple phrase structure, often revolving around the guitar. A group of professional players in rock music is called a rock band or rock group. Many rock groups consist of a guitarist, lead singer, bass guitarist and drummer, forming a quartet. Now, rock and roll already has so many sorts, such as, punk, Britpop, heavy metal and gothic. I believe rock and roll will replace all of the other music one day.
