Cultivating Creativity is My Top Concern Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Today my topic is cultivating creativity is my top concern. I would like begin with my personal experience. As students majored in English, presentation appears as our daily routine. Day after day, the same patten repeated. In order to rise our audience's interest, my friend and I determined to convert the form. Later, we interviewed several students, recorded a short video and show our presentation as a TV program. At last, we harvested a plenty of claps and left an impressive memory to our audience. Experienced this, I tasted fruitful fruit that the creativity brings to me. Thus, cultivating creativity is my top concern. Here is a common phenomenon happened every year: where there is a recruitment, there is an open-ended question. I remenbered a question asked like this: three switches are installed in a room, while the lights the switches controlled are in another room. How can the applicant identify the match of the light and switch if he is allowed to enter the room with lights only once? According to traditional practice, it is an impossible task. However, how about we alter our thinking aspect? In fact, we can turn on two of the lights and turn off one of them five minutes later. Then, go to another room to check the temperature. Actually, to a certain degree, the answer decides whether the applicant can get the job or not. Hence, try to cultivate creativity as much as possible must be regarded as our top concern. Meanwhile, creativity, which means go another way is also an effective measure for us to save both time and money. As far as I know, the ordinary methods do not always function economically and practically. In this situation, what we should do is to put forward creative ideas to simplify issues. Besides, choosing an extraordinary way to achieve our goal is a brave attempt, which offers us excitement. Personally speaking, the procedure of each attempt is just like a record of our mind, which can resonate us with a feeling of enjoyment and achievement in our advanced years. Try to imagine, how gratified we will be once we succeed on the condition that we solve the issue through our own creative efforts! To be creative men, we should rethink whether the solutions we have got are the best. To be creative men, we should rehearse the situation before we get started. To be creative men, we should adopt others’ constructive suggestion. As college students, make creativity to be our top concern can not only help us when we are in college, but also benefit us when we step into the society. Therefore, cultivating creativity is my top concern not temporary but in perpetuity.
