黄帝陵区约4平方公里，山水环抱，林木葱郁。
参观者到达桥山山顶，首先看见路立的一块石碑，上刻“文武百官到此下马”。
陵前有一座祭亭，亭中央立一高大石碑，碑上刻有“黄帝陵”3个大字。
祭亭后面又有一块石碑，上书“桥山龙驭”4字。
再后面便是黄帝陵。
黄帝陵位于山顶正中，面向南，陵冢高约4米，周长约50米，陵前40米处有一约20米高台，其旁一石碑上书有“汉武仙台”四字。
