The West Street Many people knows a old saying the first part is guilin’s scenery is the best in the world” but you do you know the other part of this saying , it is “ yangshuo’s scenery is the top of Guilin.” Yes ,yangshuo is our destination today. Now we are arriving the most famous street in yangshuo , west street. Anyone know the meaning of the west ? yes ,that’s right , as you can see , many foreigners are traveling and living here .it was not named simply for the direction ,but for its large number of foreigners. People also call it ‘’Foreigners’ Street’’. Many olds witnessed the changes of yangshuo in recent 70years. West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than1,400 years. locatedat the center of Yangshuo. Since 1980, more and more foreigners came to china ,yangshuo was a favorite attraction for foreign travelers to the area; many of them fell in love with this little town. Choosing to stay on and build their lives here, There is a saying about West Street that 'half is village while the other half is stores. many foreigners have opened shops, bars and restaurants along the West Yangshuo Street. All in all, over 20 shops in the community are owned and managed by foreigners. To live a better life in china , many of them start to learn Chinese. Maybe for them Chinese is a little difficult but very interesting. This men named wukong says he really like yangshuo, and plan to live here for a longtime even a life time, just enjoy the beautiful scenery and life here. You can have two life style the west and the east, in here. There are lots of foreigners have the same dream with wukong.
