从心理学的原理来看，期望值越高，心理承受力越 差。
如果入学前对学业、教师以及未来的就业前途 等抱有过高的期望，在现实中就会产生较大的心理 落差，导致大学新生理想与现实产生矛盾，甚至是 巨大的矛盾。
首先，从考大学的动机看。
许多学生考 大学都是迫于社会上越来越激烈的竞争，希望通过 提高学历增强竞争力，将来有更好的就业前途，潜 意识中天真地以为只要读上大学未来就是一片灿 烂。
但现实是，近些年由于本科生、研究生的扩招， 社会上的高学历人才数量急剧增加，且大多数高层 次的人才都汇聚到大中型城市争抢有限的职位。

其次，对学 校、专业的失望。

加入大学生群体之后，进行自我比较的参 照系发生了变化，大家都是经过层层筛选的优良人 才，参照系的变化势必对自我形象造成潜在的冲 击。
对于由高中直接考入大学的人来说，这种问题 更加严重。
因为这部分学生没有在社会上经历过摔 打，并且从小学到中学都是拔尖或比较拔尖的人 才，就读大学后这种优势往往难以保持，很容易对 自我形象产生怀疑。
另外在学校组织的各种竞赛、 演讲等活动中，对于那些没有任何爱好与特长的学 生来说，更是无所适从，自信心大打折扣。
大量研究 已经证实，人对压力的感受与自我形象关系密切， 持肯定自我形象的人能更好地应付压力，对自我形 象持否定态度的人更容易感受到压力。

1.3对大学学习方式感到迷茫。
大学的学习方式与中学有很大差别，很多学生 在短期内无法适应。
大学课堂教育，在于基于教材 又脱离教材的原则上进行。
特别是文科教学，很多 时候教师注重课堂教学内容的容量，于是很多同学 感到大学的学习方式和知识与高中时似乎脱节，对 老师所讲的都不太懂，对老师的授课方式也不适 应，感觉讲得太快，内容深而广。
如果教师脱离课本 进行讲解，很多同学更是模棱两可，没有课本作依 据，抓不住重点。
一堂课下来，不知所云，更谈不上 收获，这对急于想适应新的学习生活的学生来说是 无法接受的。
以至于在以后的学习中，没有目标，得 过且过，这样被动的学习就只能是痛苦的学习，没 有动力就不可能学好。
所以在思想上表现颓废，行 动上感到迷茫。
1.4在日常生活方面的种种不适应。
现在的大学生基本上是独生子女，在家多数是 饭来张口、衣来伸手，一旦离开父母，来到一个新环 境，生活上就感到非常不方便。
有的同学对自己要 洗衣、打开水、整理内务这些琐碎而无序的日常事 物感到烦躁。
这些小事处理不好，对学生的心情、学 习和生活影响是很大的。
另外不少大学生的生活理 念和动机都建立在“个人”与“自我”的基础之上，在 这种极端“个人第一”“、自我第一”思想指导下，他 们的为人处世的方式，人际交际的准则，都是以自 身的利益为进退的。
平常的生活中，他们想到的是 自己的得失，很少体谅周围人的感受，同学之间理 解与关心少了，取而代之的是戒备与嫉妒，表现出 狭隘、孤僻、孤傲、自私、闭锁的心理特征。
这种种的 不适应，使很多同学像一只无头苍蝇，到处碰壁，摸 不着头脑。
每天都在忙，又似乎没有什么收获，只能 是瞎忙。
于是，有的同学就开始怀疑自己的能力，自 卑心理由此而生，心理压力加大，也构成强大的压 力源。
多数同学感到大学生活乏味、无聊。
为了打发 时间，就沉浸在休闲娱乐中，荒废了学业，人也变得 肤浅、功利，缺乏一个大学生应有的思想道德和文 化素质，这种压力是来自人性较深层次的压力，如 果得不到适当的疏导将造成恶性循环，越积越重。
有同学如是说：学习上的压力没有高中时的大，但 精神压力却很大很大。
2对策思考 对大学新生面临的以上这些问题，我们要给予 足够的重视和指导，加强对大学新生的适应教育， 帮助新生尽快完成角色转变，尽快适应大学的学习 和生活。
2.1对大学新生加强理想教育 理想和信念是世界观、人生观、价值观的集中 体现，它是激励人们百折不挠、忘我奋斗的巨大动 力。
心理学研究表明，一个人如果理想迷失，信念动 摇，就会丧失辨别和抵御错误思想的能力。
如何在 社会中寻找适合自己的位置，协调理想与现实的矛 盾是每个大学生都要面对的困惑。
教师担负着教书 育人的重任，应成为理想、信念的引导者和激励者。
在传授学生以丰富知识的同时，更应该悉心地传播 真理，引导学生树立正确的世界观，在他们心中点 燃理想的种子。
因此，对刚进人大学校门的大学生 我们要利用授课时间、谈心方式等加强学生的理 想、信念教育。
要及时注意观察个别学生的异常动 态，并加以适当的点拨，引导他们树立克服困难的 勇气和毅力，从而积极地应对人生，树立崇高的理 想和坚定的信念。

而学生自 主学习现已成为知识经济社会的主要学习方式。
大 学教学的主要任务就是为学生的主动学习和知识 构建创设一种真实而复杂的学习环境，让学生用良 好的学习策略来控制自己的学习过程，充分发挥学 生的主观能动性，使学生在感受、理解知识的同时， 深入探究，力求有所发现，有所创新，成为一个真正 会学习的人。
老师还要注意对学生加以引导，教会 学生学习。
培养大学生学会学习要落实“教为主导， 学为主体”的原则。
学会学习比学会知识更重要，知 识是不断发展变化的，学会掌握检索、搜集、分析、 应用知识的手段则更加重要。
要鼓励学生对书本的 质疑和对教师的超越，鼓励学生要有不同于别人的 理解和富有个性的表达，积极引导学生从事实验、 实践，培养学生动手实践的能力。

2.3要让大学新生尽快适应大学生活。
让大学新生尽快适应大学生活，这包括两个方 面。
一方面要尽快适应大学的自主生活，让学生认 识到自己处理自己的生活琐事是自己的责任，也是 对自己独立生活能力的锻炼，要克服依赖思想，自 己的事自己做，不能事事都依靠父母。
要培养今日 事今日毕的好习惯，有意识地培养自己的独立生活 能力。
另一方面要培养学生适应集体生活的能力。
在中学，很多同学没有住校，加之学习压力大，对集 体生活比较陌生，对同学关系也不太注重。
进入大 学，也是进入了人际交往的高峰期，他们不仅表现 出对异性新的兴趣，而且对同性、同龄人也表现出 较大的交往热情。
同一个寝室的人朝夕相处，由于 来自不同的地方，经济条件、个人条件差异都会给 同寝室的人的交往带来一些影响，这种影响更多的 时候表现为负面的影响，教师应引导大学生正确地 从亲缘交往转向以社会交往的转变，让同学意识到 在学校里，同学之间的友谊是以高尚的人格为基础 的，是以真诚、理解、平等、宽容为纽带的。
与同学交 往要能理解他人、要平等待人，不能斤斤计较，能容 他人之短。
使学生明白并感受到，良好的人际关系 能使人获得安全感和归属感，给人带来精神愉悦和 满足，从而促进学生的人格与心理健康。
2.4培养学生承受压力的健康心理素质。
压力问题是社会问题，需要社会、学校、家庭和 个人多方面的合作和努力才能得到有效的排解。
首 先应帮助学生从个人的角度转变看待压力的态度。
使他们了解压力，重视压力。
告诉学生，我们的生活 离不开压力，回避压力无济于事，要积极地应对压 力，学会缓解心理压力的技巧。
并使他们明白，压力 并不总是坏事，适当的压力有利于激发人的斗志， 增加做事的效率，压力并不可怕，关键是找出个人 所能承受的压力极限，当压力过重时使用适当的方 式进行宣泄和疏导，以此来缓解压力。
其次将大学 新生心理教育落到实处，比如：将心理健康纳入培 养计划。
另外，广为开展体育锻炼，促使大学生参加 体育活动，在体育锻炼中释放压力，获得身心的愉 悦；加强心理健康教育，普及心理知识，加强心理咨 询，增强社会支持，为压力提供疏通的渠道；加强人 文环境建设，创造宽松的学习、科研、实践环境；改 进教学计划，拓宽大学生的知识面等等。
总之，有针对性地加强对大学新生的适应性教 育，使他们的大学生活一开始就有一个良好的开 端，成为人格健全的现代人才，广大高校教师责无 旁贷。
