⑴考研英语写作标点符号用法：句号
句号，通常表示一句话已经说完了，这个阶段告一段落了，所以它的英文是period.句号通常用于以下情况：. Semicolon分号
①陈述句后;
②语气缓和的祈使句;
③间接问句后;
④省略词后一般用句号，此时的句号叫缩写符，如Mr. Dr.，这时这个缩写符是要加的;但是像U.K.不加”.”也是可以的。
⑵考研英语写作标点符号用法：逗号
当一句话还没有说完时，可以使用逗号表示停顿。但是在英语中，绝不能用逗号连接两个句子，要想连接一定要使用连词才可以。逗号常用于以下情形：
①并列句中，连词前面用逗号。但只有逗号，没有单词是不可以的。如：
When I open the door, I find some food on the table.
②状语从句或短语，放在主句的'主语前面时，要用逗号。如：
To catch the bus, I get up early.
③插入语前后应用逗号，如：
She, I think, is a beautiful lady.
④日期当中使用逗号，英文的日期表达顺序和中文不一样，中文通常是从大到小，而英文通常是从小到大。如：月，日，年 May 1,2016;日，月，年 1 May, 2016-7-6
⑤非限制性定语从句中，也需要用逗号将主句和从句分隔开。如：
As is known, the moon goes around the earth.
⑶考研英语写作标点符号用法：顿号
英文中无顿号，想要表示停顿，只能使用逗号，这是中文和英文差距非常大的地方。
⑷考研英语写作标点符号用法：问号
问号是表示提问的。通常在疑问句后用问号，若疑问句被改为间接引语的话，就不用问号。
⑸考研英语写作标点符号用法：感叹号
感叹号在考研英语写作中要少用。因为通常感叹句、祈使句后感叹号比较多。而考研英语
⑹考研英语写作标点符号用法：引号
引号，主要出现在引语中。当引用别人的话的时候，可以使用这个符号。
以上这些标点符号是我们在考研英语写作中会经常用到的，虽然较为简单，但不能轻视，须知“千里之堤，毁于蚁穴”，只有充分掌握，才能不出现一系列的因果性问题。老师祝“天下有志者，终成硕士!”
1. 可用作及物或不及物动词。如：May I borrow your dictionary? 我可以借用你的词典吗? Some people neither borrow nor lend. 有的人既不借也不贷。Japanese has borrowed heavily fromEnglish. 日语借用了很多英语词汇。
2. 一般不接双宾语，若要表示类似意思可用 borrow sth from [of] sb (用介词 of 比 from 更正式)。如：I wanted to borrow somemoney from her, but she lent me nothing. 我想向她借点钱，但她分文没借。下面三句同义。如：May I borrow your pen? Please lend me yourpen. Please lend your pen to me. 请把钢笔借给我。
3. borrow表示借，是一时的动作，为终止性动词，因此在一般情况下它不与一段时间连用。但是当它表示借用的时间（即借来以后使用的时间)时，却可以与一段时间连用。以下两句摘自《朗文当代英语词典》，其中的borrow都连用了一段时间。如：Can I borrow your pen fora moment? 我可以借你的钢笔用一会儿吗? He borrowed a car froma friend for a few days. 他借朋友的车子用了几天。
4. 汉语中的“借用”，不一定都可用 borrow 来表示，一般说来，borrow 只表示借用那些能够带走的`东西 (如：书、钱、车、用具等)，而对于那些不能带走的东西 (如：电话、图书，而对于那些不能带走的东西)则宜用use。如：May I use your telephone? 我可借用一下你的电话吗?但有时两者都可用。如：
Can I borrow [use] your car on Sunday? 星期六我可以用你的车吗?
