1、紧扣主题，短文必须包括提纲中的全部要点;与主题无关或关系不大的字句必须一律删去。
2、文章通顺，前后贯通，语言流畅。
3、句子开头多样化，句型多样化。

5、短文字数不得少于150个字。 对考研英语短文的策略：
1.分配好短文各部分篇幅比例
根据在40分钟内写150词的《大纲》要求，合理分配各部分篇幅比例显得非常重要。篇幅比例安排大致如下：(1)开头：可控制在4句话之内，以2——3句较为适宜。该部分约占全文篇幅的10%——15%。
(2)主体：约占全篇短文的70%——80%。
(3)结尾：这部分应控制在2——3句话之内，约占全文篇幅10——15%。2.合理分配时间
应该切记短文写作时间仅为40分钟，在这较短的时间内考生需完成120——150词的'短文。这就要求考生做到有条不紊、忙而不乱，充分发挥自己应有的水平。从而稳操胜券，驾轻就熟，从容应对。建议考生在动笔之前，用5分钟的时间写个提纲理清思路，然后再动笔。此外，要留出5——6分钟来修改抄写。以避免不必要的笔误，给评卷老师留下良好的印象。3.审题——紧扣主题的关键
所谓审题，就是正确理解题意，所写短文要紧扣题目要求。从每年的英文短文考题可看出，除了题目外，还有开头第一句话和一个写作提纲。这个写作提纲就是短文的写作具体范围。考生必须以指定的句子开头，按写作提纲规定的要点和顺序(通常是3个要点)往下写。
通常3个要点就是写三段话，每段开头(除第一段已给了外)第一句话必须把该段写作提纲中的主要的词或主要意思包括进去，这就是段落中心句。每段其他句子必须紧扣该段的段落中心句，与段落中心句无关的句子或关系不大的句子必须坚决删去。由于写作提纲中所给的3个要点(即关键词)已包括在每段开头的段落中心句(即每段开头的第一句)中，而每段的其他句子又紧扣段落中心句，这就使每段的内容紧扣主题，而不至离开主题去谈别的问题，这就是抓住主题的关键。

中心句放开端
文章中心句是整个文章的主题和写作围绕的中心，通常应该放在段落的开端，这样一方面能够让阅卷老师一眼看出文章表达的主旨意思，起到开门见山的作用;另一方面可以使文章条理层次更加清晰，逻辑性强，文章的整体结构合理。中心句在作文中可以起到承接上下文的作用，放在段尾也可以起到总结全文的作用。这一方法对于写作初学者来说还是有一定困难的，因此在英语专四考试中，为了减少不必要的错误和损失，大家尽量将中心句放到文章的'开头以保万无一失。
关键词要具体
文章的中心句一般是通过关键词来表现和限制文章的主旨思想的，所以为了突出主题，关键词需要尽量写得具体些。这里对“具体”的要求主要体现在两个方面：一方面是要具体到能限制和区分文章段落层次的发展;另一方面是要具体到能说明段落发展的方法。精确仔细地突出关键词是清楚地表达文章主旨、写好段落中心句的重要前提之一，这对考生来说有一定难度。
设问扩充内容
中心句及关键词确定后，文章的大概框架已经清晰了，这时候就需要选择和主题有关的信息和素材来填充这个框架。实质上，针对关键词测试每一个所选择的素材就是一个分类的过程。有一种常用的行文方法就是句子展开前加以设问，然后解答，即设问-解答(why-because)的方法，利用问题引出自己需要的话题再加以解答表现自己的观点，同时紧紧围绕主题。

The two bar charts not only show the number of marriages and divorces in the USA between 1970 and 20xx, but also illustrate the marital status of the Americans.
According to the first bar chart, within the thirty years, the number of marriages was always larger than that of divorces. From 1970 to 1980, the number of marriages remained unchanged . But 1990 saw a decline. In the following decade, the trend continued, dropping to the nadir of 2 million. Noticeably, the highest divorce rate was in 1980, when about 1.4 million divorces attracted the attention. In comparison, 1970 witnessed only 1 million, equal to that in 20xx. By contrast, 1990 saw 1.2million.
The second bar chart indicates that in 1970 about 70% Americans married, but in 20xx the figure was 59%. The percentage of divorced and never married increased from 3% to 7% and 12% to 20% respectively.
In sum, the marital status from 1970 to 20xx were complex.

二、教学过程
1.教学的第一步骤是复习有关描述人物的形容词和单音节和部分多音节形容词比较级的规则变化和不规则变化。
2.教学的第二步骤是听。听3A的三篇小短文，Try to find out the answers to these questions:Should friends be different or the same?What are the opinions in the book?

3.教学的第三步骤是阅读。学生讨论三篇小短文的中心句，不同点和文章特色。
4.第四步骤是讲。学生进行口头
5.第五步骤是写作。有了前面四个步骤的铺垫，学生对自己写作已经有了跃跃欲试的情绪，教师随之导入写。
1)Pre-writing部分先引导学生对所写内容要点进行讨论，帮助学生寻找想表达的对象、情感，进一步降低写作的难度。(5分钟)
2)First-writing学生根据自己的口头表达及讨论的要素，写出自己的文章。
3)Second-writing 小组讨论，进一步修改自己的文章。(3分钟)
4)Post-writing部分，教师给出评分的依据，同桌交换评析，鼓励学生给自己、给同学打分，培养学生在写作后能对自己的作文成绩预估的能力。
5.学生以小组讨论本组作文的优点和缺点。并派代表发言。(6分钟)
6)Share the writing，点评两篇学生习作，选一位基础较好的同学和一位基础一般的同学的作文。教师根据上述提供的评分标准，详细点评两篇习作的'思想内容功能。目的是使学生尽力领会教师对文章的点评，培养学生选词和用词的能力，指导学生多模仿好文章的优点。
7)Summary最后与学生一起总结，并共同得出结论：用英语写作并非想象中的那么难!鼓励学生课后多练口语，感受英语语言的魅力。
三、反思
整个课堂设计运用了任务型教学方法，通过不同任务的引导，对学生进行听、读、写各方面的训练。运用比较学习法，减低任务要求，减轻学生负担;
同时活动形式多样，如小组活动、个体活动，使不同层次的学生都有成功学习的体验。学生上台谈论大家认识的人物，增强了学生的好奇心和兴趣。从学生课堂上所分享的写作来看，学生的想象力得到了激发，合作学习给学生带来了成功的体验。在下一步的个人写作中，积极发挥，写出了不少出彩的好文章。学生给老师带来惊喜，老师亦还给学生一个惊喜。这就是教与学的快乐。
