《心花路放》是一部轻性喜剧，也是部类公路片，也是部爱情片!
其实，在荒诞的故事背景里，在我们捧腹大笑的过程中，也感受到我们内心的声音!
片中，徐铮扮演的郝义，一个放荡形骸的中年制片人，放言“女人不能睡第二次”，却因为剧中“阿凡达”一直追着还给他关于需要“放在心里的信仰”的吊坠而和“阿凡达”在一起，说着无心，听着有意，“阿凡达”喜欢有信仰的人，而其实作为制片人的中年大叔郝义应该也是一个有信仰的人，于是，他们走到一起。
剧中男主耿浩，由黄渤扮演。一个婚姻失败，一个过气歌手，一个二手音响店老板，一个loser，在好基友郝义的'带领下开始了一段找回自我的旅程。
过程中，充满了失意，绝望，无助，最终找到了自我，认识到阴影里面的自己，重新开始自己丢下的信仰----唱歌。
而另外一条线却是袁泉扮演的大龄文艺女青年，独自一个人来大理的自我放逐之路，结尾处宁浩在大理旅店揭晓了文艺女青年其实就是多年前独自来大理的康小雨，耿浩的前妻!康小雨之前所有的遭遇原来是在遇到耿浩之前发生的事情。
其实，康小雨也是有自己的信仰的，那就是找到和自己同步的人，对的人，那时是耿浩，可是婚姻让男主放弃自己的信仰或者是理想，成了一个生意人，于是康小雨离开了。
其实，爱情是这样的，遇见的时候是最美，太多的过程却让她不美了，不美得原因是我们放弃了当初的热情，当初的信仰，成了行尸走肉。
