With all of the delays, the group thought they arrived back at London five minutes too late. However, the next day they discovered they were one day ahead of schedule. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodneeventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.
How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodnecould conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodneis omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.
For me, the nature of goodneis one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodneis to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodneis an utterly worthleperson. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodneundoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.
To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodnein humanity. They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.
Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’
That is to say a person without goodneis destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.

读完了法国作家儒勒凡尔纳的三部曲之一八十天环游世界之后，我感受颇多。这本书讲的故事非常离奇，也非常神奇：一位平时生活很本分、很有规律的福克先生，突然奇思妙想，想要用八十天的时间来环绕地球一圈，并且设下了两万英镑的巨额赌。谁也不相信他会赢，因为这实在是太难了，在这八十天里，能保证不出意外吗？能保证只因为一分钟之差，而赶不上准确的时间吗？但是，福克先生却做到了，甚至在这人们想象不到的极端的时间里，福克先生不仅完成了环游地球一圈，甚至还做了很多善事，领略了当地的风土人情。这期间他的仆人一直忠诚地跟随着他，还有一位误以为他是小偷的密探，也跟着他环绕了地球一圈。整个故事扣人心弦，而且在很多艰难的时刻发生了奇迹般的转折，使整个情节跌宕起伏，很有意思。
我还读过这位作家三部曲中的另一本书：[海底两万里]，这本书的故事情节也非常奇妙，不过主要涉及的是海洋方面的知识，对于海底两万里以下的风景描写的美不胜收，让人有一种身临其境的感觉。而这本[八十天环游地球]主要还是叙事，用叙事的写作手法从侧面一一道出了那时各个国家的风土人情，人文地理。有赞美，也有讽刺。
不管是遇到了什么事情，或高兴，或失落，书中的这位主人公福克先生都保持着平静的态度；他的仆人倒是被描写的活灵活现，喜怒哀乐尽显书中。不过，福克先生的精神还是值得我们学习的，不管发生了什么，都不要过于激动，总有解决方法的；而仆人"万事通"的做法则告诉我们，不管有多么要紧的事情，都要欣赏一下周边美丽的风景，不要白来这一趟。
那个一直很自以为是的密探，到最后冤枉了好人，使自己的名誉不再像以前那么好了。不过，他为了活捉"小偷"所做的努力还是很多的，这种坚持不懈的精神，最后竟然使他没有被受到处分，还白白的环游世界一圈，已经很令人羡慕了。
不仅是这几个人，在整个故事中，还有很多不起眼的角色，对福克先生这一趟旅行有很大的帮助。正是那些不曾谋面的人出手相帮，才会有一个八十天环游地球的奇迹。

五一班周游看罢由法、美、意三国合拍的《80天环游地球》后，我深深地被这个影片吸引了。故事主要讲述了英国绅士非利亚福克和他的仆人路路通在环游地球中的有趣故事。他们经过了莫里西林、巴黎、阿尔卑斯、孟买、加尔各答、香港、横滨、旧金山、伦敦，最后又回到英国。这个电影既讲述了主人公和仆人的奇怪故事，又描述了各国的风情、景色。回想起《80天环游地球》，犹如刚从起伏回转、险峻幽邃的小路上探险归来，经历紧张后又十分欢快、轻松。这个电影情节起伏跌宕，忽起忽落，使人随影入境，心情难以平静。电影每一高峰，就让人以为就此作结，不想情节陡转，高峰迭起，一山未尽，一山又起，让人目不遐接，心不遐思，只能被他们牵引着，欲罢不能。而这正是电影魅力所在，怎能不引起心灵、感情上的共鸣？曲折可谓是电影的特点。不仅表现在情节上，而且也表现在遭遇的怪事上。时而在海上飘流；时而坐大象探险；时而勇斗海盗；时而救土著王妃……这些事都是我们一般人不敢做的，而他们干什么事都无怨无悔。而且主人公非利亚福克待人诚恳，聪明善良，有着高贵的绅士气质。里面，我最喜欢的交通工具就要数“紫色的云”了，“紫色的云”是一个气球房子，他们就是坐着这个特殊的工具飘过阿尔卑斯山的，多么奇妙啊。我想：假如我也拥有一个气球房子那该多好啊！看这个电影让我感受到了，人生应有两个目标：一个是把想干的事做好，另一个是把想干的事的过程加以享受，这样才能拥有美妙的人生！

今天，我再次读完了《八十天环球旅行》。我前后共看了三遍，真是爱不释手。这本书的作者是凡尔纳，法国人，是世界上第一位科幻小说家。书中的主人公是；福克先生、仆人路路通、福克先生的妻子艾奥达、侦探弗里克斯。我最喜欢仆人路路通，虽然他是个马大哈，但他非常乐于助人。我最讨厌侦探弗里克斯，我觉得他是个糊涂侦探，他被一笔破案金迷住了，所以他觉得福克先生是窃贼，便想法设法要捉他。结果，他花了一大堆车费和船费，终于捉住了福克先生。可是福克先生并不是窃贼，因为真正的窃贼已在三天前被抓住了。你说这个侦探糊涂不糊涂。
读了这本书，我觉得福克先生、仆人路路通、福克先生的妻子艾奥达他们都是非常勇敢、机智，他们不怕艰难，克服了种种困难出色的完成了环球旅行。想到我在遇到困难的时候，我都是哭、闹，真是惭愧。我也暗暗下了决心，一定要向他们学习，改掉怕困难的坏毛病，敢于接受困难的'挑战。我相信我一定是最棒的！

《80天环游地球》讲的是菲利亚福格和他的仆人路路通，两人为了证明自己的话是正确的而和朋友打赌，开始了这次奇特的环球之旅。主人公福格先生外表虽冷淡沉静，喜怒不形于色，但内心却有情感、讲义气、重名誉，从他在穿越印度半岛途中冒着巨大的危险毅然决定营救被逼徇葬的安达夫人，在火车上面对劫匪临危不惧、英勇战斗并宁可放弃自己全部财产而营救热情、勇敢的仆人路路通，都鲜明地表现这些品质来。仆人路路通在主人决定环游地球前一天刚刚受聘于主人，本是暗中调查了确信从此能过上安稳的日子，
但因主人的一个赌，又要漂泊在外，可是路路通还是接受了这个事实并很快投入了角色，路路通热情、正直、勇敢、负责，还有最重要的是忠诚。忠诚，这个最优秀的品质，最终得到了主人不菲的奖励——赠送给他一头大象。这本书中包含了很多地理知识，时区、时差、子午线等，启发了我对天文地理的兴趣。通过书中涉及到的环游路线，可以一边欣赏曲折趣味扣人心弦的故事，一边了解地球上不同地方的主要城市、港口、地形地貌、风土人情……使我收获颇多。
福格先生这次的环球之旅什么钱都没有得到，但却得到了幸福的真爱和一个忠实的仆人，虽然他的富有的财产所剩无几，但他还是感到非常满足。因为人与人之间的真诚情感是最美好的财富。
