地球是一个神奇而又美妙的星球，孕育出无数生灵。其中，就有可爱、美丽、凶猛的生灵。他们让这广阔无垠的地球增加几分神秘，却又难让人难以琢磨。他们有共同的一个美名——动物。
瞧，在一个没有太阳的南极里，雄帝企鹅正遭受着地球上极端环境的考验。气温跃至零下七十摄氏度。黑暗中它们互相紧紧地依偎、拥抱着。但他们为何要留守在这里？因为雄帝企鹅要守护“生命的至宝”------企鹅卵。在黑暗、寒冷中，雄帝企鹅要用毛绒绒的腹部为它们保暖。雄帝企鹅在缺少水源和食物的情况下，也要死死坚守四个月，才能见到阳光，他的宝宝才能孵化出来。这考验也绝对是动物界最痛苦的，他们承受着巨大的饥饿，也要小心翼翼保护着他们唯一的小生命。帝企鹅们生命力十分顽强，他们用这般毅力等待阳光，等待小帝企鹅的出世。我想，动物也是生命，它们会象人一样有思想，情感，为了宝宝，可以顽强的坚持不吃不喝，团结一致一起报团保暖，一起等待宝贝的出生！他们对儿女的爱像人类 一样伟大！
而在地球的另一端北极，却阳光灿烂。太阳光照亮了北极洲的大地。冬眠了四个月的北极熊睁开双眼，从洞穴中爬了出来，并从雪坡上轻快地滑下，是为了庆祝春天的到来？还是在玩耍呢？看着北极熊，我似乎也轻松起来。咦？两只可爱的北极熊从洞中探出头来，这是它们第一次感受着这个世界。看着它们慢吞吞地、步态蹒跚走到母熊身边饱餐一顿的样子，我也想笑。但当我知道这是它们出生后唯一的食物时，就感到很伤心。为什么是出生唯一的食物呢？因为母熊已经五个月没有进食了，体重掉了一半。它将自己体内仅剩的脂肪转化为乳汁哺育了小幼熊，以后就没有了。母熊只能去捕食海豹来养家糊口。母北极熊也很伟大，把自己的一切都给予了小熊，让它们健康成长。这正是天下所有母亲（包括动物）所奉献的。

《planet earth》是BBC制作的大型纪录片，共分为11集，依次为：南极北极、山脉、淡水、洞穴、沙漠、冰雪世界、丛林、浅海、季节性森林、深海，每集48分钟左右，从陆地到海洋，从地底世界到世界屋脊，在横广与纵深上全面细致的讲述我们生存的这个地球。纪录片是一种独特的电视文化形态，以纪实手法还原真实世界，在所有的视频形态中是我比较喜欢的一种，因此也常常拿来用于教育目的，从本质上说《行星地球》最终目的是为了教育地球公民珍惜我们的生存环境和家园，然而从表现形式看，影片中并未出现说教的成分，而是用震撼人心的画面和娓娓道来的解说给人心灵的震撼，引发反省式的思考。在我观看到高清模式的第一刻便知道这部鸿篇巨制绝非短期之功所能完成，事实上，纪录片的拍摄成本高达2500万美元，摄制组走遍了7个大洲，用了5年时间拍摄而成。这是这些背后的努力与高标准使得《行星地球》一诞生就使得屏幕上的许多其他影视作品相形见绌。
想要完全的记住这11集的内容并不是一件容易的事，但是在观看时总会有一些画面深刻的定格在你的脑海中，启发深入的思考:
（一）
太阳在北极升起，一只北极熊露出试探的脑袋，而后从洞穴里爬出来，它的身后跟着两只可爱的小北极熊。然而没有玩耍和享受的'时间，母北极熊饥饿难耐，现在的急迫任务是猎捕到足够的食物。这个部分让我想起后面的一头公北极熊，它已经在海水里游了很长的时间。但是仍然没有猎捕到食物，万般无奈的它不得不冒险去攻击海象群，几次努力之后都没有成功，可怜的北极熊只能默默等待死神的来临，它趴在那里无望的眼神让人看了很心疼。这些又让我想起最近看过的报道：猎食越来越艰难的北极熊竟然同类相残，公北极熊攻击小北极熊，以此补充能量，看到那张图片，大熊嘴里叼着几乎只剩下头的小熊，雪地上是浓重的血迹。
北极熊遭遇如此困境的原因：全球气候变暖的影响，北极冰川加速融化，原本要靠踩着浮冰来觅食的北极熊现在不得不提早回到岸上，觅食的不足让北极熊变得越来越瘦，体内脂肪的减少让它们难以熬过严寒，才有了同类相残的悲剧，罪魁祸首是全球气候变暖。
导致全球变暖的气体主要是二氧化碳，此外还包括甲烷、臭氧等，在地球的生态系统中，二氧化碳的自然产生与自然吸收始终保持一种平衡，但是由于化石燃料的燃烧过程中产生的二氧化碳不断地释放到大气中，使二氧化碳含量增加，阻止了地面热量向空中散发，因而使地面温度升高，造成温室效应。温室效应所产生的危害影响是深远的：它会导致冰川融化，引起海平面上升，威胁到临海国家和岛国的生存；改变自然生态，减弱大气经向环流，改变降水分部，干旱和虫害加剧。
（二）
镜头深入一个山洞，露出大熊猫大大的一张脸，大熊猫怀中抱着小熊猫，如同母亲怀里抱着自己的宝宝，温馨的画面。六月的非洲异常干旱，极度干渴的象群和狮群共同想用一个小小的水坑，夜晚来临，大象变得危险起来，最终一头脱离象群的大象被狮群攻击，狮群享用这份大分量的美餐。大熊猫在我国属于国宝级动物，数量已经十分稀少，而性格一向温和的大象同样面临着数量逐渐减少的危险。
据英国《卫报》报道，从2000年到2009年短短十年间，从中华白鳍豚到圣赫勒拿岛红杉，因为过度的猎捕和开采，栖息地丧失，气候变化，污染以及人类活动，一些已经在野生环境中消亡或者宣告彻底灭绝。在自然界还有许多濒临灭绝的物种，尽管人们知道它们濒临灭绝，但是出于谋取经济暴力等的目的，仍然进行着猎捕和杀害：非洲丛林象的象牙是偷猎者垂涎的，杀死一只大象可为偷猎者带来数千英镑的暴力；淡水豚的数量非常少，水质污染和猎捕对其数量影响十分严重，我国的扬子豚已于2006年灭绝，是50年来灭绝的第一种哺乳动物。这让我想起一些奢侈的吃消费：鱼翅，是由鲨鱼鱼鳍干燥加工而成，价格不菲，人们将鲨鱼捕获，残忍的将其身上的鱼鳍切割下来，然后再将鲨鱼扔回水中，鲨鱼不能游，不能呼吸，最后死在水中。一条鲨鱼只取其身上极小的一部分，鲨鱼却要因为这小小的一部分而丧命；同样的，燕窝是极奢侈的补品，金丝燕用唾液建筑尽美的巢穴，人们将其巢穴拿走换取大把的钞票，失去巢穴的金丝燕不得不再建，如此循环，直到金丝燕吐血筑巢而死。
森林里的生长比赛，植物为了获得充足的阳光，必须努力不停的生长，最终那些优先占有较高位置的植物形成层层树叶层，光线被一级级的削弱；但在潮湿的地方却生长出了独具形态的菌类，并因此成为一个生物链的起点。森林是陆地生态的主题，也是陆地上最大、最理想的物种基因库，据测算，进入20世纪90年代以来，每年约有13万~15万平方千米的热带雨林变成荒地，非洲的热带雨林只剩下原来的三分之一。据世界自然保护基金会估计，全球的森林正以每年2%的速度消失。草构成了草原的主体，自然的气候变化使干燥的草原引发一场来势迅猛的大火，然而大火后，草能够迅速恢复生机重新生长，维持草原的生态系统。
生物多样性是一个地区内基因、物种和生态系统多样性的总和，从极地到赤道，物种的丰富程度呈增加趋势，热带雨林几乎包含了世界一半以上的物种，在自然地理形成过程中意义重大：生物多样性提供食物、药物和部分工业原料；具有景观、文化教育和科学研究等方面的价值；能防止水土流失、土地沙化等多种自然灾害；具有清洁环境等作用。生物多样性遭遇的破坏主要原因是生态环境的破坏，森林砍伐，过度利用，不合理的耕作方式和猎捕，工业化和城市化的发展，外来物种的入侵等等。生物多样性是脆弱的，极易受到破坏。
（三）
戈壁的干季，水的缺乏引发了空前的动物大迁移，象群在母象的引领下寻找记忆中的水源，一头小象和象群走散，等待它的将是残酷的命运。经过几周的旅行，迁移的动物终于找到了沼泽水源。之前的极度干旱和此时的碧水蓝天形成了强烈的画面对比，动物的喜悦在此时被加强以渲染。
水是重要的环境因素，是地球生物的生命之源，是地球能量、物质循环与生物新陈代谢的主要介质。天然水中97.3%以上是难以被直接利用的海水，余下的淡水资源分部于高山冰冠、极地冰川、江河、湖泊和地下水中。目前人类直接利用的淡水资源大部分取自河流、淡水湖泊和浅层地下水中，其总量仅占世界天然水总储量的1%左右，地球上可利用的淡水资源是相当有限的。由于水资源补给主要来源是大气降水、地表径流和地下径流，它们具有随机性和周期性，在地区分布上不均衡，因此缺水是一个长时期的历史问题。
水资源在开发利用中会出现各种各样的环境问题，使河流、湖泊面积日益缩小，地下水日益枯竭，造成水体污染。人们日常生活中产生的各种污水，工业废水，农业生产工程中排出的污水以及渗入地下的城市污水正在导致越来越多的水体遭受污染。童年记忆中干净清澈的小河不再，而是飘满绿色物体的臭水。水体污染造成的影响也是多方面的：1953——1956年，日本富熊本县水俣事件。熊本县水俣港渔民出现中枢神经性疾病，研究表明为水俣化肥厂排出的汞侵入鱼体，体内含汞的鱼、贝进入人体所致；1955——1972年，日本富山县神通川流域的骨痛病，由于当地居民长期引用受金属镉污染的河水和稻米，使镉积存在体内损害了肾功能，导致骨骼软化畸形，周身疼痛，先后死亡200多人。水体污染对人体健康的危害是直接的；水质受到污染会影响工业产品的质量和产量，造成严重的经济损失；使用污染的水体灌溉农田，会破坏土壤，影响农作物的生长；水体受到污染会危及到水生生物的生长和繁衍，造成水生生物多样性的减少。

从地球上空看去的黄色区域，与天空几乎相接的黄色风暴，无边无垠的黄色沙漠，蛇将身体藏入沙土中，镜头拉近，可以看到如细雨般落下的沙粒，甚至可以听到沙落的声音。一片黄色的背景下，一头骆驼孤独的站立着，在沙漠的热气浪流中只能看到大概的轮廓。
沙漠的形成是自然长期作用的结果，陆地的表面大约30%部分是沙漠，此处我们探讨的主题并不是沙漠，而是沙漠让我想起的荒漠化。荒漠化是一个全球性的环境问题，被列为全球十大环境问题之一。20世纪80年代非洲撒哈拉地区发生的大灾荒，就是荒漠化所引起的最引人注目的一次环境灾难，难民的悲惨景象震惊了全世界。从1991年底为联合国环境与发展大会所准备的报告的评估结果来看，全球沙漠化面积已从1984年的34.92亿公顷增加到1991年的35.92亿公顷，约占全球陆地面积的1/4，已影响到全世界1/6的人口（约9亿人），100多个国家和地区。遭受沙漠化影响最严重的国家依次是中国、阿富汗、蒙古、巴基斯坦和印度，从受荒漠化影响的人口的分布情况看，亚洲是世界上受荒漠化影响的人口分布最集中的地区。
荒漠化是自然因素和人为因素综合作用的结果，自然因素主要指异常的气候条件，人为因素主要指的是过度放牧、过度农垦、过度樵采、水资源利用不当及工矿建设破坏植被，使地表裸露。荒漠化的影响和危害的深远性在于它所摧毁的是人类赖以生存的土地和环境，直接威胁人类社会经济发展的基础和空间，使农牧业减产，影响地区经济发展，增加大气尘土，引发沙尘灾害，因此，荒漠化被成为“地球之癌”。
以上所述的全球变暖、生物多样性减少、水污染、荒漠化只是我们所面临的众多环境问题中的一小部分，事实上，我们的环境问题已经形成了一个庞大的体系，主要由环境污染和生态破坏两大部分组成：环境污染包括有大气污染、水污染、固体废弃物污染以及其他污染；而生态破坏主要有植被的破坏、水土流失、荒漠化、气候变化、臭氧层破坏和生物多样性锐减。1987年7月11日，南斯拉夫一个男孩的降生成了世界各大新闻机构争相报道的消息，这个男孩就是地球上第50亿位公民。世界人口的大爆炸，日益严峻的环境问题，都将是我们在21世纪迫切需要解决的问题。近期上映的《2012》是时下人们关注的电影，关于世界末日的预言在电影中被真实的勾画；美国科学家测定2036年将会有行星撞击地球，科学家们甚至提出了几种预防该行星撞击及延续人类文明的方法。在我看来，无论地球的末日是哪一天，也不论人类的毁灭形式是哪一种，活在当下的我们，都应该认真的去解决现在的问题，用理智的思维和长远的眼光。
对于环境问题，我们确实也已经作出了很多的努力和尝试，各国出台的环境保护的法律法规，世界性的环境保护组织与峰会，国际性的环境保护项目，新能源的不断开发与应用……人与自然是和谐统一的整体，人不能凌驾于自然之上，事实上，人类的每一次对自然的伤害，自然都给予了严厉的反击，树立的正确的行星地球观，从每个人做起，从身边做起，我们的蓝色星球需要每个公民的呵护和关爱。

After the appreciation of the film “Titanic”, I have noticed some meaningful details behind the peoples’ general impression of simply an affectional film. The wreck of the Titanic occurred in 1912, in which the great recession started from the end of the 19th Century still hasn’t ended. Most critics pointed out that the sinking of the Titanic represents the collapse of the Capitalism in the end of the 19th Century. However, I would like to say that, in this movie, the director had not only foreran the crisis of the Capitalism, but also showed some of the human nature, from both gloomy and brilliant aspects, like selfish, mammonish, vainglorious, and love, hope, bravery, faith, and so on. In this essay, I will first reveal this film’s indication of the social context of that age, then I will analyse the two contrary aspects of human nature indicated in this film through some impressive shots.
