Roman Holiday,a movie does not have the too winding strange plot,has not let the magnificent scene which the human is dazzled, has not made the stunt effect which one praises to the heavens, only then simple black and white, actually because of had a most perfect female with pure beauty--Ann and a most perfect man with affection look--Joe among, but lets us immerse, the feeling time is unable to cancel purely and happy, closely is affecting the innumerable happy young moods.
In the open-air cafe, in the ancient Rome sports arena, in makes a vow in front of the cliff, in charitable dance party, in police station, in the small apartment and Roman street corner princess is merry the high school female student who looks like first plays hooky, in the air always is filling the air that romantic joyful breath. Initially fords the performance circle Ann young, attractive, is lively, is intelligent, is always gazing at the Joe by the bright eye incomparable trust, at that time Ann was a so lovable girl, the high Joe lowered the head looks at her, the corners of the mouth smiling face slightly brought some to look down on the world gently.
However, because understood oneself to the national responsibility, reason princess finally chose left own spouse, again turned over to the imperial family. Joyful and the short 24 hours had finished, princess or princess, common people or common people, but, many growth. Meanwhile,understood the secret important to Ann,faced love and interest,Joe chose to quit the report about princess,although he would not get 5000 and would lead simply life. The story is about a young princess (公主) (Hepburn) named Ann, making a goodwill (善意的) tour of Europe's capitals. She is tired of the responsibility (职责) and demands of the role she has been born in to and longs to experience the every day pleasures of an ordinary person. In Rome she finally rebels. Waiting until after everyone in the embassy (大使馆) where her party is staying has gone to sleep, she slips out a window and finds herself alone on the streets of Rome.
She is found by Joe Bradley (Peck), a hardened (坚毅的) and somewhat cynical (愤世嫉俗的.) reporter, on his way home from a late night card game. Not knowing who she is but seeing that she has no place to stay he takes pity on her and invites her to his apartment for the night. In a comical (滑稽的) scene, he offers her a pair of his pajamas (睡衣) and points to the couch where she can sleep. Innocent (天真的) aristocrat (贵族) that she is, she asks for a nightgown and help undressing. Bradley helps her take off her tie and then leaves the room. When he returns a few minutes later he discovers her sound asleep on the bed, leaving him the couch (沙发).
Leaving her sleeping the next morning, Bradley shows up late for work and tries to cover himself by saying that he had an interview (采访) with the princess. But his editor shows him a newspaper with her picture and headline stating that she was taken ill the night before and canceled all appointments (安排) for the day. Bradley immediately realizes who he has in his apartment and gets the editor to agree to pay $5,000 if he can get a real interview with the princess. On the way out Bradley contacts a photographer (摄影师) friend, Irving Radovich (Albert) and arranges for him to met him later with his camera for a big scoop.
Returning to his apartment, Bradley picks up the princess for their planned tour of the city. Bradley's real aim is to get the pictures and story he promised (答应) his editor. But the innocent charm of the princess softens him and the two start to fall in love. They end up having a good time and some comical adventures (冒险). Bradley conceals the fact that he is a reporter who knows who she really is and she doesn't tell him that that she is a royal princess. But in the end the truth comes out and the princess realizes that her duty to her country and family come first and she reluctantly (不情愿地) returns to her official role.
The two meet briefly at the end during her press conference with other reporters. She addresses Bradley as Mr. Bradley just like the others. As he is leaving, Bradley, quietly slips her the photos that his friend Irving had taken and lets her know that his story and pictures of their time together will never be published (公布).
The charming Audrey Hepburn plays a modern princess who takes a day on Rome. She meets up with reporter Peck and wise-cracking photographer Albert. Peck and Hepburn fall in love, though Peck plans to sell an "exclusive story with the princess." Roman Holiday is a fun romantic comedy, but stays realistic (现实) with its commentary on society and royalty.

此剧最吸引我的地方，或者说我觉得最出色的地方，是将历史主线与以两个男主角为代表的普通罗马人的生活结合在了一起。普通人在大变革时代的生活和喜怒哀乐，比起单纯的帝王将相、才子佳人要强很多，要更有历史感，而不是沦为虚假的演义。
两位男主角的设定很成功，一位重责任的传统罗马公民，一位看似玩世不恭却重感情的疑似新公民者。演员表演也很到位。当然作为一名历史专业学习者，我还是更想说说剧中的那些历史人物。
历史人物中，这部剧里除了两个男主角之外最吸引我的就是马可.安东尼。感觉历史上的安东尼是个比项羽弱，比吕布强的人物，在剧中他也并不完美：好色、残忍、贪图享乐、毫无理想。然而同时他又是个忠于朋友、爱护部属、恩怨分明、英勇善战的人。
剧中有这样两个场景让我印象深刻，一个是当凯撒在希腊陷入苦战，让留守罗马的安东尼增援的时候，安东尼因为贪恋罗马的权势安乐犹豫不决，迟迟不出兵。屋大维的老妈阿提亚自以为看出了安东尼的心思，提出两人联手背叛凯撒转与庞培媾和。虽然知道历史上安东尼最终的选择，但当看的时候还是担心安东尼会答应，然而……安东尼大哥果断拒绝了阿提亚，并且立即决定出兵增援凯撒。安东尼的'确贪恋权势，有自己的小算盘，但是他对凯撒的忠诚是毋庸置疑的，为了凯撒可以放弃诱惑他的一切。
另一个场景是腓力比之战，凯撒派和共和派的大军陷入苦战，屋大维问安东尼怎么办，安东尼说，当你不知道你应该怎么做的时候那就进攻。相当帅气的一句话，再配上詹姆斯.普尔弗伊的坏笑和纵马驰骋的身姿，让人想到了破釜沉舟时的项羽和辕门射戟时的吕布，相当拉风的勇猛型统帅的形象跃然纸上。
严重怀疑导演是个共和黑。剧中的共和派形象都不好，我最喜欢的古罗马政治家之一——西塞罗就是一副小受像，见了安东尼就吓得不行，就是最后从容赴死挽回了点形象。而布鲁图斯那只能用一个“井”字形容，成事不足败事有余，对理想不能坚持对友谊不能忠诚，想要当XX又要立牌坊，相当水的一个人物。
反之凯撒派的人物那是绝对伟光正，最牛的是屋大维，那真是神一般的男人，三次元的鲁殿，不用鸡鸭死照样能获得鸡鸭死的效果。一介少年就能算无遗策、洞察人心，把老牌政治家耍的团团转，貌似粉的有点过。
凯撒和庞培也是塑造很成功的角色，尤其庞培。大概是我之前对庞培了解不多的缘故，觉得庞培属于袁绍一流人物，但是看了《罗马》，又翻了一些资料看看，发现庞培比袁绍强。袁绍是手下牛，自己却拖自己后腿；庞培则是对手太牛（西方四大军事家之一），而且队友太水，卡托、布鲁图斯、西塞罗一个比一个不靠谱（剧中）。最后庞培和孩子们一起逃亡那段让人很感动，很有英雄末路的味道。
凯撒嘛，在剧中神的程度仅次于屋大维，而且在剧中到最后我也没看出凯撒是真心为人民还是利用人民。想想历史上的凯撒也是这样，凯撒在诡异的时间点世，使得他的真心成谜，也许共和派的确杀了一个专制者，也许他们杀了共和最后的希望。
三个女人：
阿提亚，屋大维他妈，有点像瑟曦，当然她儿子比小乔那是天壤之别。
赛维莉亚，布鲁图斯他妈，有点像凯特琳，当然她的孩子们木有史塔克家的主角光环。
好吧，我想说的是剧中的阿提亚和赛维莉亚像瑟曦和凯特琳一样都是典型的大愚若智类女人。
剧中最漂亮最强大的女人当然是克里奥帕特拉，不过相比那个经典的伊丽莎白.泰勒的埃及艳后还是逊色不少的。
此外，《罗马》里的服装道具都给人非常真实的感觉，也可能是因为我对罗马史不清楚所以挑不出错误来，但是有一个细节我从一开始就很在意，那就是马镫。而此剧在这个细节上相当给力，所有的骑马戏都没有马镫，有时甚至是故意给个上马的镜头告诉你没有马镫。能做到这一点真的很令人佩服，至少据我所知国内没有考究严格到这个地步的。战国和秦汉的电视剧里我看到的都是有马镫的。
