The story tells of an orphan named Oliver. At the age of 9, he was sent to the factory and coffin shop as an apprentice. Finally, he could not bear it. He fled to London and met the Fagin group who lived by stealing and was forced to be a part of it. After all kinds of tribulations, I finally lived a happy life with Grandpa.
There are many impressive characters in the novel, especially Nancy. She is kind-hearted and helpful. Thanks to her help, Oliver was able to escape from the Fagin group. Although she also had hesitation and fear, she finally obeyed her conscience, risked death, and helped the lovely and poor Oliver. Although she died at last, she became the most important character in the novel and left an indelible impression on me.
After reading the novel, my heart is hard to calm for a long time. Oliver as the protagonist of the novel, Shenghua in that era, she was unfortunate, as an orphan, she suffered a lot, compared with her, as a peer of me, how lucky Shenghua in such a comfortable, happy era. This summer vacation, I read the book "orphan fog city". After reading it, I feel that the sentence it wrote is simple and the content is touching.
Its about the protagonist Oliver tuxton, the illegitimate son of a wealthy family in the upper class. His young mother gave birth to him in the parish poorhouse and died. He led a hellish life in the workhouse. At the age of nine, he was bought as an apprentice in a coffin shop. After suffering a beating, he fled to London, and on his way into the den of thieves. After a series of tribulations, little Oliver finally came back to his family.
Little Oliver, the hero, is very kind and free from bad thoughts. Thats the main reason why he can finally live a happy life. If we change some people who are not good at heart, maybe he has become a robber. We should be kind and resist foreign bad thoughts, only in this way can we become a person that everyone admires!

Desperate for work, unskilled Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts), the head of a single parent household, takes a relatively inconsequential job as a legal assistant in a California law firm for low wages. While organizing some paperwork pertaining to real estate cases, she is puzzled when she notices medical records in one of the files. On a whim, she does a little investigating of her own, and comes to suspect that land purchased by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) is the same land on which chromium contamination had resulted from PG&E's environmentally irresponsible actions.
Examination of local water records and interviews with people ill from exposure to poisonous chromium confirm Erin's suspicions, but pursuit of legal proceedings against PG&E would seem beyond the capabilities of the small law firm of which she is a part. Still, Erin succeeds in making her boss, Ed Masry (Albert Finney), as passionate about the case as she is, and he takes it on. Both Ed and Erin must make great sacrifices in their lives, as the legal costs spread Ed very thin, and the round-the-clock work makes Erin out of touch with both her boyfriend and her kids.
Erin's kids resent the lack of attention they are receiving, and her attempts to explain the merits of what she is doing to her eldest son are futile ..... but, one day her eldest son opts to read one of the many documents pertaining to the PG&E case. He reads of a child his own age who is very ill, and knowing that Erin's work will help this child, asks her why the child's mother cannot provide the needed help. When Erin explains that it is because the child's mother is very ill, too, her son, for the first time, appreciates the nature and importance of Erin's work.
In the end, Erin's special ability to bond with the victims of chromium contaminaton and their families and Ed's legal and administrative prowess are the key ingredients to making the case against PG&E. As a team, they manage to successfully lay the groundwork for the payment of legal damages by PG&E to those harmed.

This book mainly talks about: at the dance, Elizabeth, a country lady from a decent family but without rich dowry, met Darcy, the son of a rich family. At that time, her arrogance annoyed Elizabeth. With villains provocation, Elizabeth misunderstood Darcy more and more deeply. Darcy, the prince of white horse, fell in love with the beautiful and lively "Cinderella" in one contact, but the difference between the two made Darcy always hold an arrogant attitude towards Elizabeth, which, together with Elizabeths growing misunderstanding of Darcy, constituted the contradiction between "Pride and slowness" and "Prejudice".
This book makes me realize that people should get along with each other harmoniously and dont misunderstand each other because of a small matter. Because of the prejudice against Darcy, she easily refused Darcys proposal, which led to many twists and turns in their relationship. At last she got rid of prejudice.
Darcy is a young man with rich family and noble title. He was noble in appearance, flexible in mind and kind in heart, and he was very kind even to his enemy, Weiken. However, he is considered arrogant because of his bad association with strangers. After accepting Elizabeths criticism modestly, he won Elizabeths love.

Her novels all described the lifestyle and social communications of families in the countries of England as what she is familiar with. The book Pride and Prejudice is the typical one that fully expressed Jane’s view on marriage and emphasized that the benefit on economic exerts a great influence on marriage.
The characters in the novel all had their own opinions on marriage. Mrs. Bennet, for instance, has only one aim-that of finding a good match for each of her five daughters.
As for Elizabeth, who is the second daughter in the Bennet family said that only deep love would persuade her to marry which was why she would probably end up an old maid. Lydia and Charlotte, however, were two extremes. The former just married for sex, while the latter married for a comfortable home and protection.
There are just so many different characters that were all formed under the society of England in 18’s century. Then, there was filled with unfairness between men and women. Just as what Jane Austen said,”It is a truth universally knowledge, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. ”
