一、英语写作的特点.
The characteristics of formal writing
1.名词化趋势
I do not eat much.-->I am a light eater.
The clock on the desk reminds me of time.-->I put a clock on the desk as a reminder of time.
We once cried, laughed and disappointed.-->There were moments of tears, moments of laughter, and moments of disappointment.
注意:名词化趋势的句子当然还有动词, 目的是尽量把表达句子中心意思的那个词汇用名词表达.符合英文的习惯.
2.无灵主语(区别于被动语态)
我们中文写作中,习惯以人做主语,而英文则相反,习惯以物做主格.
More and more young students studied further in the past two decades.
-->The past two decades witnessed a growing number of young students for further study.
Looking out of the window, you will have a nice view.
-->A glance out of the window offers you a nice view.
注意: 名词化趋势和无灵主语常常是相结合的.
3.被动语态
这一点大家比较熟悉,不详细讲.比如:

二、句式的写作:
Main features of English sentences:
1.长短句结合
Love is patient and kind. It is never jealous, boastful, proud or rude. It keeps no record of wrong that others do. It always protects, always fruits, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails.
一般来讲,总结性的句子应当使用短句,而说理的句子应用长句.
2.并列复合句
这种句子属于十分难写的句子,也举一个例子:
He who wants to save his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for me will save it.
3.单一复合句
也就是我们常说的各种从句,不再举例.
三、Variety of sentences:
1. ”-ing & -ed” groups

2. ”to do” groups
To spend too much time in study is sloth; to use them too much for ornaments is affectation; to make any judgment wholly by their rules is the humor of the scholar.
3. adverb
Simply, amazingly, absurdly, broadly, practically and so on
Intelligently applied to daily life, modern technology will surely bring benefits to the well-being of the human race.
4.介词短语
In pursuit of, in spite of (注意平时自己的收集)

5.主语从句
What China needs is not more morals, but more prisons for politicians.
句子的变化还有 It is self-evident(adj) that…….和There be 这样的句子
6.倒装
(1)将一些否定性含义的副词和短语在句首,用倒装会使句子生色不少.
Never before has such a high standard been achieved.
Hardly had he arrived when she started complaining.
(2)为使描绘更加生动,与介词同形的副词可以移动到句首,而把主语放到谓语后面去.
Following the roar, out rushed a tiger from the bushes.
In came a pretty girl he had never seen before.
四、插入语
插入语可以是一个小词,也可以是一个同谓语的形式.
1.先看一个小技巧:(对there be 句型均有效)
There is, recently, a debate amongst educators that……
通俗的讲,在老外眼里,主语与谓语离的越远,句子的档次越高.
2.插入语后面再接上一个定语从句;
Direct experience, a necessary means to recognize the world, which differs from knowledge acquired from books, is a major step to the cognitive world.
再看几个同谓语从句的例子:
1.Television, one of the most pervasive and persuasive technologies, marked by the rapid growth and drastic change, has a profound impact on people’s lives.

平时要多积累这样的句型,使之变成自己的语言.
Tip:对同谓语的解释尽量宽泛一些,有利于句子的拉长.
对于入语加定语从句开头.
就是说:将题目中的中心词拿出来,进行宽泛的解释.
这一方法对很大一部分的考题都是有效的.

一、理解词语与句子题型
A 1、考点解说:理解文中重要词语的含义
所谓“文中”,有两种含义:一是指对文章全局的“整体把握”;二是指具体的词语的上下文,即通常说的“语境”。在理解一个词语时这两种含义在阅读分析过程中都同时起作用。所谓“重要词语”,是就这个词语在文中的作用而言的,如果考生没有能够正确理解这些词语,就很难准确地把握文意。一般地说,“重要词语”指以下词语:
(1)体现作者意图、立场观点的词语;(2)表现文章主题思想的词语;(3)具有深层次含义的词语;(4)作者反复强调的词语;(5)对文章结构起照应连接作用的词语;(6)使用修辞的词语;(7)有特殊指代义的词;(8)概括性极强的词语;(9)多义词语。
2、理解文中重要词语的含义的五点注意 命题侧重考查一个词语在具体语境中的指代义或临时义或隐含义。所以特别要结合整篇文章或上下语句(段)来阐述词语的含义。对词语的理解,一定要做到:词不离句,句不离段,段不离篇。因为文章中的任何词语都不是孤立的,它总是跟上下文及文章的主旨等紧密联系,受着上下文及文章的主旨制约,必须注意:
(1)联系上下文来理解词语的含义
一个词语的含义往往要取决于上下文。在语言链中理解词语是阅读的一个基本原则。高考中对重要词语的含义的理解,一般不可能是纯粹的平面诠释(字典意义),而是动态的解释(特定语境中的词义)。特定语境中的词义,是由文章的具体内容所赋予的,这就是要求我们应着眼于具体的文句,联系上下文并紧扣文章的有关内容,得出切合该词的特定环境意义的理解。
(2)紧扣写作背景、主旨及作者的思想倾向理解词语
阅读时,如果对个别语句在理解上遇到困难,不妨把它同文章的写作背景、主旨及作者的思想倾向联系起来。
(3)要会理解指代词的含义
文章中的代词指代的范围往往极为广泛,它既替代实词、短语、句子、语段,又能替代动植物及天上地下的任何事物,还能替代复杂的概念。代词指代意义的确定必须紧扣上下文的内容,要注意指代内容有近距离指代,也有远距离指代。对有些指代性词语还应特别注意其前后指代是否一致,范围是否统一等。有时指代内容没有现成词语可供使用,需要对文章进行分析、归纳与综合。文章中的指代词往往运用于同一事物的反复出现之时,所以代词的出现,多是在所指代的事
物、人物之后。因此代词指代的内容在本句中往往难以找到,而要从上句或上文甚至下文入手,由近及远地去寻找。还要注意上下文对指代内容的限定或提示。
(4)要注意词语的感情色彩及附加意义
语言的感情色彩是作者抒情成分的体现。恰切把握作者的感情色彩有利于准确地理解内容。
(5)内涵丰富的词语的解题思路
对使用了比喻、象征等手法的词语和含蓄、抽象的词语的理解,需要弄清手法上的特点和借助前后文来界定该词语的含义。解答这类题目时,“在文中”是关键所在,词不离句是理解词语的基本原则。一般来说,一个涵义丰富的词语的出现,就在它的前面或后面作者都要做具体的阐释,换一种说法揭示他的内涵。命题者既然出了这个题,那答案就一定在原文中。答题时要找准原文中相关的句子,一般在词语出现的附近或者前后找答案即可。
B 1、考点解说:理解文中重要句子的含义
所谓“重要句子”是指对理解文章具有重要作用的句子。重要句子通常包括以下几种:
(1)意义比较含蓄、内涵较为丰富、蕴涵着某些深层意义的句子;(2)在一定的语境中,有着某种新意的、比较形象生动的句子;(3)言在此而意在彼的、由一定的语境赋予了临时意义的、比较容易误解的句子;(4)表现作者观点态度的、交代脉络层次的句子;(5)表达文章中心,起引用、概括、总结、过渡、深化、揭示主旨作用的句子;(6)含有比喻、比拟等修辞格,既精彩又较难理解的句子;(7)含有一定的哲理、具有警策作用的、需要认真品味的句子;(8)在表达效果上有特殊作用的句子;(9)结构比较繁杂、理解起来有一定难度的句子等。
理解句子是理解文章的基础。特别是一些关键句子,含义深刻,如果理解不清,直接影响对文章内容的理解。因此每年的高考语文题,都要考查句子的理解能力。
2、理解重要句子含义的原则
理解重要句子的含义,一定要以组成这个句子的词语本身的意义为基础,尊重这个句子结构的基本框架,不要脱离句子本身的'组成要素,过多地进行个人发挥。
3、理解重要句子的方法。方法多种多样,主要有下列几种:
(1)从句子中的重要词语入手。
有些句子,只要把其中的重要词语的含义搞清楚了,就可以推知整句的意思。
(2)从分析句子的结构入手。
有许多句子,分析其结构,如果是单句,先找准主、谓、宾,如果是复句,先找准其第一层,就可以把握句子的基本意思。
(3)从分析句子在文中的位置入手。
句子在文中的位置,对理解句子的含意至关重要。理解这类句子并不难,首先从文章位置入手,找准句子的“管辖”范围,从句子的“管区”寻找其含意。但这个管辖范围不是那么容易找准的,非下力气不可。如考查的句子在文章、段落中是总起,那么理解句子就要从它领起的那些内容去分析概括;如果句子在文意、段落中起小结作用,就必须从它的上文去分析概括。如果是承上启下的过渡句,那么就要联系这个句子的前后文意去分析理解。
(4)从分析其表达意图入手。
这种方法主要适用于理解那些在表达上有特色的句子。 以上方法都应结合句子所处的具体环境灵活运用,要看句子所在的语段,注意与此相邻的上下句和与之对应的解说句,抓住相邻句,挖掘隐含信息,这样去体味、推敲句子才能做出正确合理的阐释。
(5)从分析句子所在的语境入手。
一篇文章由多个语义相对独立的意义群构成,每个意义群有一个相对的意义中心,同一个意义群中的所有句子,都应该指向这个中心意义。那么,我们就要联系具体语境,即上下文来理解语境句的含义。具体的理解方法是:第一步,确定句子所在的意义层,思考层意;第二步,抓住句子中的“特定信息”,联系层意具体理解这个句子的含义。
4、理解句子含义应注意的问题。
(1)不要人为地“拔高”。这是指把句子本身没有的意思强加给作者。这种“强加”于人,通常表现为不从句子实际出发,而把一些不着边际的“思想性强”的优美文词句往上加。
(2)不要人为地“遗漏”。这是指把句子本身的意思没有解释全面。有些句子解释含意时确实是需要解释句中的重点词语,但除去重点词语,剩下的内容也要和解释后的重点词语加以连缀后才是整个句子的含意,不能把重点词语之外的信息遗漏,有时候只需要照搬上其他的内容即可。
二、赏析句子题型
(一)高考考纲解析 考查范围:体会重要语句的丰富含意,品味精彩的语言表达艺术能力层次为D级。
所谓赏析句子,它包括三层意思:首先是理解句子的表层意义,即字面意义。一般说来,句子的字面意义理解起来并不困难,它不是高考的重点。其次是理解句子的句内意义。所谓“句内意义”是指句子的语境意义,即在一定的语境中句子的临时意义。这方面的理解,是高考考查的重要内容。第三,是理解句子的句外意义,即“言外之意”,言在此而意在彼所产生的意义。这一点也是高考考查的范围。各种转义的修辞手法,如反语、双关、婉曲等,表达的往往是句外意义,常常是考查的重点,复习时,要留心这方面的内容。
(二)几种“重要语句”的答题步骤
(1)内涵比较丰富的语句
通过对高考题目的考查,我们发现对重要句子的考查多数是内涵比较丰富的句子,因而,在对句子进行理解时一定注意把握重要句子的关键之处,找到句子的关键之处也就意味着把重要句子的理解转化成了对重要词语的理解,这在重要句子的理解过程中是非常关键的一步。 一般的答题格式为:找关键+巧分析+组答案。

(2)用特殊表现手法的语句
高考现代文重要句子考查,很多时候句子是带有特殊的表现手法的,我们要从表现手法入手,先对手法进行还原,然后再说这种手法的作用,最后说作者的情感。
一般的答题格式为:还原手法+作用+情感。
(3)结构复杂的句子
有的句子在结构上比较复杂,越是复杂的句子越是容易搞混学生的眼球,这就要求我们在对这类题目进行处理时要化复杂为简单,只有这样才能容易寻找到解决问题的突破口,从而找出答案。
一般的答题格式为:复杂句子简单化+找关键解析+作用+情感。
(三)赏析句子的方法
1、抓关键词语赏析句子。很多重点句的含义,往往是通过一、二个动词、形容词、副词、数量词等关键词语传递出来的。抓住句中关键词语去深入理解句子,是常用的可取的一种赏析句子的方法。
2、从修辞的角度赏析句子。修辞手法的运用,能使句子表达的意思更形象、生动、传神。修辞常见的有八种(即比喻、比拟、夸张、排比、对偶、反复、设问、反问),它们在不同的语境中所起到的作用各不相同。 如比喻,是根据事物的相似点,用具体的、浅显的、熟知的事物来说明抽象的、深奥的、生疏的事物。其作用表现在能将表达的内容说得生动具体形象,给人以鲜明深刻的印象,使深奥的道理变得浅显易懂。又如排比,把结构相同或相似、语气一致,意思相关联的三个或三个以上的短语或句子排列在一起。作用:增强语言气势,加强表达效果。用它说理可使论述详尽,条理清晰;用它抒情,能激发读者的感情,增强文章的感染力;用它叙事写人,能使描写细腻深刻。
3、从结构作用的角度赏析句子。一个句子在结构上的作用有承上启下、前后呼应、总结上文或总结全文等。我们应该抓住总领句、过渡句、总结句分析其在结构上的作用。
4、从写作艺术手法的角度赏析句子。艺术手法是作家在创作中为塑造艺术形象,表达审美情感时所运用的各种具体的表现手段,如衬托、对比、借景抒情、托物言志、联想、想象、象征等。
5、从句式特点入手赏析句子。常见的句式特点有:长短句结合、句子对仗工整、双重否定句.排比句、反问句、倒装句等。

(四)规范赏析句子的答题思路:
首先,先在文中找到所需赏析的句子,即将句子回归原文,并将句子放在整个段落甚至前后段落中理解,简要地说,结合具体语境理解。
其次,细读所要赏析的句子,根据题意,或主要从某个角度回答,或从多个角度较全面、充分地回答。
最后,将上述思考的结果,整理下来,做到层次清楚,语言流畅。
