The first thing that would strike you is probably the word “furthest.” Your grammar teacher must have told you that for distance, the word should be “farthest.” The second is that the verb “is” is missing after all the “but”s. Granted, with poetic license, you can get away with anything. However, that still does not explain why the sentence is incomplete after “is that” in the last stanza. Having lots of free time on my hands ( I am a retiree), I decided to investigate. Baidu and Google are great help ( BTW: sell Baidu, they are overpriced. Ha Ha. Too late already.) I discovered that the origin of the Chinese version was based on a two line couplet by 张小娴 Quote: 此诗并非泰戈尔的作品, 也不是英语诗。
