《原野奇侠》是派拉蒙公司出品的西部剧情片，由乔治·文斯执导，艾伦·拉德、琪恩·、凡·赫夫林等出演。
1953年4月23日，影片在美国上映。
ign编辑scottcollura撰文写出了自己对《金刚狼3》电影风格的看法，而他的观点认为，这部超级英雄电影深受经典西部片《原野奇侠》的影响。
有着非常浓重的悲剧英雄色彩。
《原野奇侠》是一部1953年的西部电影，讲述了牛仔肖恩帮助斯塔雷特一家及自耕农们击退当地恶徒的故事。
在《金刚狼3》试映会结束后，官方给观众分发了一本包含《金刚狼3》众多剧照的合集书，其中就出现了一段来自《原野奇侠》电影最后一幕的经典对白：男主角肖恩即将离开，小男孩乔伊依依不舍希望他能留下来。
从之前《金刚狼3》的预告中可以看出，这部电影的故事非常有西部片的感觉，至少电影的许多场景都发生在德克萨斯州。
不过当然，《金刚狼3》不是传统的西部片的风格，破败的景象和严酷的生存环境，似乎都在指向这是世界迎来了末日。
《金刚狼3》同样也有类似《原野奇侠》中肖恩与乔伊的角色设定，洛根与小女孩劳拉（x-23）就像特别的教父与教子关系。
之前的电影预告中，x教授说过这么一句话“她很喜欢你，洛根，也跟你很像。
”劳拉与洛根拥有相同的能力，甚至是人生经历，而这比《原野奇侠》中肖恩与乔伊的关系更加紧密而复杂。
洛根看着劳拉似乎就如同看见幼年的自己，一个在世间游荡的不安灵魂。
也许在电影的最后，洛根也会选择离开劳拉。
在《原野奇侠》的最后，影片试图传授给年轻一代一个更和平生活方式的概念。
肖恩独立离开了曾为之奋战的农场，重新化身荒野游侠，他永远都是一位侠客般的人物，和平而稳定的田园生活显然离他太过遥远。
而肖恩之前所做出的牺牲，都是为了农场小男孩乔伊一家能够世世代代在和平的环境下生活下去。
在《金刚狼3》中，洛根也试图让劳拉（x-23）远离暴力的生活，也许他无望享受真正的宁静，但至少要让劳拉获得这样的生存权利。
这部电影完美补全了洛根的人物性格，一位有血有肉的超级英雄在银幕上诞生。

对于英雄的离去，人们总会充满留恋和不舍，但孤单英雄终将迟暮，在历史的风尘中渐渐消散。
