电影片名翻译应遵循哪些基本原则
1、信息价值原则这是最基本的原则，如果译者不了解影片的内容，只是根据看到的英文片名来译，这样译名就会偏离原片内容,是翻译片名中最严重的错误。
为了更好的把电影的内容传达出来，就要求电影在译名上忠实传递与原片内容相关的信息，做到翻译标题形式与原片内容的统一。
2、文化价值原则电影的片名翻译不只是两种语言的转换，也是两种文化的交流。
在片名翻译中体现着文化价值，促进文化交流，是电影片名翻译的重要任务。
源语言与目的语言的文化背景不同，存在着很大差异，因此译者要充分理解、准确传递原片名所负载的文化信息和情感。
3、商业价值原则电影是一门文化性和商业性兼具的艺术，在片名翻译时需要考虑到商业因素。
电影要追求票房，没有高的票房就不能算一部真正意义上的好电影，译者要充分把握语言的文化特征和审美情趣，译出观众所喜闻乐见的电影片名，引起心理共鸣，激发观看欲望。
