他英勇地失败了，他是真正凯旋的英雄，一身伤痕则成了他非凡勇气的见证。
在小小的窝棚中老人安然入睡，他没有失望，睡梦中又准备出海了，他梦见了狮子。
有人说，《老人与海》的故事是一曲英雄主义的赞歌，作者借它道出了全书的主题——“人不是为失败而生的，一个人可以被毁灭，但不能被打败。
”我不赞同这样的观点。
小说中，作者借桑地亚哥的言行举止体现了对英雄主义的歌颂，比如圣地亚哥不俱挫折，永不言败的精神，比如他与大马哈鱼的殊死搏斗，比如他对伟大的迪马乔的狂热崇拜。
可是到了小说的结局，老人通过搏斗所得到的结果被鲨鱼抢劫一空，只留给他一条巨大的鱼骨。
从老人的话语中我只能感受到消极，无奈和落寞的凄凉，这样的情节安排，还能说作者仅仅是在歌颂英雄主义的伟大吗
这是否要可以看作对英雄主义的某种反思
书中的英雄主义始于惊汉号，却终止于一个大大的问号。
在我看来，《老人与海》的故事是一场命运使然的悲剧，而悲剧的根源地也许正是所谓英雄主义，书中写到，圣地亚哥把大海看作是自己的家，他对大海怀着原始，朴素而深沉的爱，他不仅仅是一个以打渔为生的渔人，而且是一个把自己的生命与大海相系的老人。
他热爱海里的每一条鱼，每一朵浪花，甚至对海上的飞鸟都有一种出于有宾同情。
从某种意义上来说，大海不仅仅是他的家，也是他的精神支柱和灵魂的栖息之所。
在没有捕到鱼的八十四天里，他是愉快而不屑认输的，即便生活再困苦窘迫，他也从不绝望，而是满怀信心地去面对。
我发现，老人的故事不仅象征着人与自然的关系，而且象征着人类坚不可摧的精神。
在现实中，他虽然失败了，但在精神上，他却是胜利者，他那顽强搏击的精神，展示了人的高贵和尊严。
遍顾所有的人生，谁没有经历过失败呢

失败的原因可以不尽相同，便无论如何失败总是一个让人难以承受的打击。

你还会准备“出海”吗
再出海，你就会有胜利的希望。
我想，这种险恶的人生环境和这种坚忍的人生态度，正是这部作品越来越吸引人的原因。
人生本来就是一种无止境的追求，至于最后是捕到一条完整的大马哈鱼，还是大马哈鱼的一副空骨头架子，这都是无所谓的，因为一个人的生命价值，已在那追捕大马哈鱼的过程中充分地体现出来了。
曾经耗尽生命的能量，为自己的理想追求过、奋斗过老人，不就是一个真正的胜利者吗
这样的人生应该无怨无悔。
