有一部外国的铠甲勇士，想不起来名字，他的剑可以插钥匙变成火 .冰之类的形式主人公有三个，主人公有一个
不久的未来；炘南是火村的后人，火影石和木影石是ERP研究室在较早的时候发现的，虽然顺利的找到了火影石的召唤人炘南，但木影石的召唤人并没有下落；研究室平时由博士的妹妹-美真和助手也是电脑高手的东杉在维护着，当ERP卫星监测到城市中有异能量反应时，则立刻通知炘南前往，炘南召唤火之炎龙铠甲后化身为铠甲勇士-炎龙侠，与暗影异能兽展开战斗并完成封印魔灵石的封印任务
不过，炘南的心中还有另外一件重要的事情，就是要完成母亲在车祸而失去生命前的遗愿-代表国家参加国际性的钢琴比赛，他想花更多的时间来练琴，但也知道他身为火之铠甲的召唤人责任重大，这让他十分的矛盾……炘南失去双亲后，一直住在阿姨-蕙姨家，蕙姨是个幸福的小女人，老公在国外有着忙碌的事业，幸福饺子馆，是她为了打发时间与发挥对烹饪的浓厚兴趣所开设的，平时和女儿-小兰，在店里打工的敏慈一起打理，每天因食材和心情做出最幸福的料理，是蕙姨的心愿。
所幸，炘南的烦恼没有维持很久；实验室的助手-东杉被发现为木村的后人，而且能顺利的召唤木之铠甲，风鹰侠的出现，让炘南松了口气，但这样的发展却随着水影石也即就是水之铠甲的召唤人-北淼（黑犀侠）和稍后出现的土影石召唤人，也就是能合体土之铠甲（地虎侠）的坤中的加入又有了意想不到变化，炘南谨慎小心的个性与北淼积极冒险的个性截然不同，北淼更视炘南的行为是懦弱的表现，这让冷静木纳的东杉和个性随和中庸的坤中，以及作为联络管理人，希望大家以和为贵的美真陷入极大的担忧和为难…… 消灭影霸后，影界王的立刻出现，才让铠甲勇士们知道原来暗影势力有多庞大，也发现了遍寻不着的金影石和召唤人居然是暗影集团的一分子，在与魔灵异能兽的斗争同时，还要对留着相同血液的人展开攻防，这样更造成了铠甲勇士的内部分裂，终于，凡事以大局为重的炘南决定暂时退出团队，专心的准备钢琴比赛…… 晋升领队的北淼，始终对金之铠甲（雪獒侠）的召唤人-西钊有着强烈的敌意和不信任感，他主张采取主动，冒然进攻，终于被暗影集团发现其弱点而加以利用，几次造成重大的危险，而后更为了取得完全的指挥权而攻击了炘南，并顺利的启用接替炘南的召唤人- 张健，食髓知味的北淼下一步希望的就是让西钊也交出金之铠甲召唤人的位置，让整个铠甲勇士的团队，都成为不顾一切，服从指挥，愿意主动出击的勇士
北淼的心态，其实是情有可原的，十年前痛苦的经历让他失去了挚爱的妹妹-小雪，所以他在战斗的过程中，总是带着仇恨和报复，当他发现失去的小雪原来是被影界王所养大成为女杀手-冰儿时，更让他产生了无比的痛苦和矛盾，当然，这也成为了暗影势力利用他的最大弱点…… 影界王的失败，终于让暗影五行魔迫不及待的现身，直接对越来越团结的铠甲勇士发动直接的攻击。
而外冷内热的北淼，在接受了炘南和西钊后也终于上当被困，但北淼誓死也不交出带着水晶石的召唤器，为了解救黑犀侠，所有的铠甲勇士决定牺牲自己，将队友救出； ERP研究室不得已在五个人都受伤、暗影五行兽又发动新的猛攻时，启用了铠甲勇士二队，但二队的想法与一队完全不同，可以说他们想的是结果，而不管过程是否不择手段，这让美真非常的痛苦，因为从ERP研究室成立以来，都认为正义的执行应该是自始而终的，而且这么大的权力和铠甲武力如果被滥用，这将不可想象；由于西钊的事件，和点子王-小嵩的提醒，让美真对发生在十年前的事故产生了兴趣，抽丝剥茧下，终于发现了光之铠甲-帝皇铠甲的秘密，不过，由于目前唯一的召唤人-向阳，年纪太小还无法稳定的控制拥有强大威力的帝皇铠甲，所有人的希望便转移到了院长在去世前留下的一个能召唤极光铠甲的另一个关键字结上
急功近利的铠甲勇士二队终于因不择手段，在攻击雪獒侠(西钊)后被美真正式解除了召唤者的资格，第一队的铠甲勇士们再度拿回了召唤权。
而炘南也由于敏慈的坦白和帮助终于走出了十年前的阴霾，铠甲勇士一队重新披起战袍，迎向最大的挑战，到底铠甲勇士们能不能完全封印结合了暗影五行魔的终极暗影魔兽，关键就在是不是能发现那个神秘的字上了 经过十八年的轮回地球又将再次面临最黑暗的时期，邪恶的影界怪物们伺机统治善良的人类。
身聚五个光影村后人血液，并已长大的向阳，不得不穿上远古流传下来的铠甲，接受宿命的安排，铠甲勇士承担起拯救地球，拯救人类的重任。
炘南、北淼、东杉、西钊、坤中五个男孩分别是火村、水村、木村、金村和土村五位铠甲勇士的后人，他们的血统里都有五种神秘基因，在光影石的作用下他们会得到中国自古流传的神奇战斗铠甲并成为代表光明力量的炎龙侠、黑犀侠、风鹰侠、雪獒侠及地虎侠。
以他们为代表的光影战士拥有正义能量，与黑暗势力黑帝及其爪牙进行坚决斗争。
恶方势力为破坏社会幸福安定，用大量污染物研制出个个污染兽，制造环境污染与社会混乱，光影战士们几经努力，终于取得了最后胜利，铠甲勇士成功地封印50个 魔石和五大魔灵石。
