电影tarzan的英文简介

The story of Tarzan has been told on the big screen 47 different times, making it the second most filmed story in Hollywood history (Dracula is the first). Tarzan first saw the big screen as a silent movie in 1918. Now, 47 tellings of the story later, comes Disney's adaptation in the form of a full-length animated feature film. As Disney proves, Tarzan is a great story for the animation marketplace with Disney's Tarzan being the first time it has been given an animated treatment. Hoping to capture magic with Tarzan, Disney has assembled a nearly unbeatable team. From music by Phil Collins to excellent background scores by Mark Mancina (buy his Twister score for some more excellent music) and a strong animation team, Disney will no doubt make strong impressions and a lot of money. Tarzan will no doubt be a big hit at the Box Office and while it's a great movie, it could have been even better. Had Disney better developed the second half of the film, it could have easily recreated a classic not seen since Beauty and the Beast. Quick SummaryDisney's Tarzan follows the extraordinary adventures of an orphaned infant raised by a family of gorillas and ultimately accepted as one of their own, destined to be their leader. As Tarzan matures into a young man with all the instincts of a jungle animal and the physical prowess of an athletic superstar, his life changes forever when he finally meets other humans, with whom he feels an immediate and irresistible bond, especially Jane, the daughter of a giddy scientist. They are on an expedition to study gorillas in their natural habitat. But when their protector, Clayton, plans to capture the gorillas for his own greedy gain, it's up to Tarzan to save the day. 2Little wonder then, that as the output has increased over the 80s and 90s, a couple of movies have not really been up to par. But it's worth remembering that this is Disney's par, and it's a fairly exceptional standard at that.Happily, this latest offering from the House of Mouse need not concern itself with such quality qualifications: this is top stuff in anyone's book - even theirs. Finally getting round to the real king of the swingers, it's a cross (storywise) between the dour, serious Greystoke version of the Edgar Rice Burroughs classic and the one where Bo Derek's clothes keep falling off, all rendered in a Pocahontas animation stylee. This beautifully painted, family-friendly, half-term adventure has Tony Goldwyn (Patrick Swayze's villainous best friend in Ghost) as the sensitive, abandoned ape-man, orphaned in a rather harrowing example of the fittest surviving principle. He's saved from his own, personal extinction by Kala (Glenn Close), who becomes Tarzan's surrogate gorilla Ma, much to the disapproval and annoyance of silverback patriarch Kerchak (Lance Henriksen).Over time, however, Tarzan is accepted within the gorilla family, coming under its protection and eventually - as he grows into a lithe, animal-like adult - helping to defend it.And then the so-called civilised world comes knocking in the bumbling form of Professor Porter (Nigel Hawthorne), his spirited daughter Jane (Minnie Driver) and their blunt guide and guardian Clayton (Brian Blessed), a larger-than-life hunter with sinister designs in mind.Employing their latest innovation (dubbed rather dramatically deep canvas), Disney's singular triumph here has been to make the jungle backdrop almost a character in its own right. Not talking trees or anything as crass as that, more a living, enveloping world in harmony with the gorillas and especially Tarzan, who glides through some superbly kinetic scenes aping surf and skateboard manoeuvres as well as the common or garden vine-swinging variety. The plot is straightforward but considered, the voices - as you can see - all accomplished movie actors, and this impressive ensemble is further extended by the prerequisite comedy characters: Rosie O'Donnell as young, gorilla chum Terk and Jurassic Park's Wayne Knight as clumsy junior elephant Tantor. As a package, in fact, it's skilfully devised and realised, a warm, entertaining adventure which could only have been improved had someone dissuaded Phil Collins from chipping in with a drum-heavy number every five minutes or so.3Disney-released video games are becoming almost as routine as Disney-released animated films, only the games tend to be more insufferable. It's that negative emotion, alongside the vestigial shellshock of A Bug's Life, that keeps people from looking forward to a movie-license game that's due to arrive on the heels of the movie itself. If Eurocom's Tarzan game proves anything, however, it's that sometimes it feels quite good to be proven wrong. Tarzan, the game, follows the recently released animated film's plot exactly, and that's a very good thing, as the movie's pacing is conducive to the challenges you expect from a video game. Actually, what Tarzan captures, surprisingly, is the simplicity (with challenge) found in classic games. Tarzan's a single-player game; you play as Tarzan most of the time, first as the young ape man in training and then later as the perpetually prime of life Tarzan. When you're not playing as Tarzan, you're running through the jungle as Jane, in a Victorian dress, attempting to flee a pack of baboons; or you're tearing up the campsite as Terk, Tarzan's she-ape companion. There are 14 levels in all, and, surprisingly, each level and the objective therein is strikingly different from one another. Sure, there are conventions that reoccur in some levels, such as swinging on vines or sliding along fallen trees. However, these consistent features contribute to your overall grasp of the gameplay and become more demanding as you proceed (yes, demanding. Tarzan is not an easy game). About half the levels are composed of standard 2D platform jumping, while you grab items and avoid animals until you reach the end. The rest of the levels take advantage of action scenes in the movie. In the Stampede level, for example, you control Tarzan as he runs ahead of a pack of elephants Crash Bandicoot- or Herc's Adventures-style. You move from side to side and jump when necessary. This parallels the stampede scene in the movie. In the Sabor Attacks level, you fight the leopard, Sabor, with a spear and with tricky jumping moves a number of times until you conquer him, just as in the film. The aforementioned event with Jane is the Baboon Chase level, which follows the movie so closely that it has Tarzan swinging in to save you, hence navigating the chase at that point. Bonus levels exist as well. To earn one, you must collect four pieces of Jane's baboon drawing scattered around the environment. If you do so, you'll glide down a stream on a raft, grabbing tokens and fruits until the timer runs out, or you'll ride through the jungle on a stork, doing the same, or you'll slide along the fallen trees in the style of Crystal Dynamic's Pandemonium, ducking limbs and jumping over others. What's the point of tokens and fruit? It's all pretty intuitive. The tokens, in lots of 100, give you an extra life, and the fruits (yellow, purple, red, and blue of varying strengths and availability), are for you to lob at animals that get in your way. You'll also pick up other objects, such as a stone blade, to use against close-range predators. Bananas are used to increase your health meter and are pretty readily available throughout the game. If you collect all the letters in Tarzan's name (also scattered throughout each level), you open up movies that move the game forward. Worthy of mentioning, too, is the fact that you can go back and replay saved levels, should you want to find all the tokens, drawing pieces, or letters to gain extra lives (necessary for some of the later levels) or acquire a better ending score. In regard to gameplay, Tarzan's controls are responsive, for the most part, with some exceptions on the jumps and in fights with a noxious monkey or poisonous frog. And while you usually deal with the animals (sometimes your enemies, sometimes there to give you a lift) immediately, if you don't, you'll discover fairly quickly that the AI isn't too swift. In most cases, the animals are predictable and can be dispelled with fruit bombs or avoided altogether with little effort - with the exception of the evil, evil birds. All in all, Tarzan is a pleasant surprise. The game looks good (as good as the film), sounds good (better than the film, as you can X out of anything you don't want to listen to), and plays quite well. While the game is not particularly mind-stumping or sophisticated, it is challenging and does require a good amount of skill, whether in jumping from place to place, knowing where hidden items might be, or fighting belligerent leopards who lunge a lot. Even if movie-license games turn you off, this game is an exception and worth taking a look at. If you can't stand Disney and have no interest in the franchise, this game is still worth looking at.The AwesomeThe first five minutes of Tarzan is absolutely captivating. Disney not only opens up with an action sequence (a ship burning), but also does some impressive and powerful transitions between the human family and gorilla family. Not since The Lion King has there been such a powerful opening. The morphing of two different, but similar, situations helps to instantly build the story and your emotions to the upcoming events. We could easily watch the first five minutes over and over again (dozens of times) without it losing its impact. Disney is to be highly commended for such a strong opening. Disney satisfactorily answers all your questions as to what happened to Tarzan's real parents and as to why Kala, Tarzan's gorilla mother, fights to keep him in the beginning. Another awesome aspect of the film is actually something that Disney do. Disney force the villain to sing. In fact, the way Disney structures the songs throughout Tarzan does a great job of moving the story forward. There seems to be an unwritten rule in past animated films that the villain must sing. This created awkward out-of-character (and out of place) situations for villains like Scar ( The Lion King), Jaffar (Aladdin), and Rasputin (FOX's Anastasia). Disney has grown beyond such artistic pauses with Tarzan where thankfully Clayton (the villain) doesn't burst out in song. For once the villain doesn't sing! Here Clayton, our sly and villainess adverturer, reassures Professor Porter that he will lead them to the gorillas. The GreatDisney's telling of the Tarzan story was flawless until 30 minutes into the film when Clayton is introduced into the movie. Up until then the story was strong, character development was solid, and Tarzan was on a great adventure to the point where you care if any other human elements were ever introduced because it was so much fun and intriguing. All the parts with Sabor (who makes a better villain than Clayton) were very intense and strong. You are given a strong feel for how all the characters interact and what their motives are for the decisions they make. It is 30 minutes of absolute great storytelling. The songs in Tarzan are also great. Only one song, Trashing the Camp, creates a small pause in the story, but it's also one of the most entertaining for kids. Phil Collins does an excellent job with the songs and there's no doubt that the soundtrack will be a top seller this summer. Equally impressive are the background scores by Mark Mancina. Mancina is one of our top three favorite composers whose background scores we love to listen to (the other two are John Williams and Hans Zimmer). In Tarzan, Mancina doesn't disappoint. The only disappointment was that only a few of his background scores were released onto the soundtrack! This is, in our opinion, a major oversight by Disney. Great score writers (i.e. James Horner, John Williams, etc.) can sell soundtracks just as well as singers can. Just look at the sales of the soundtrack to Star Wars: Episode 1. Another great aspect of Tarzan is Disney's use of its new Deep Canvas animation technique. Deep Canvas allows the two-dimensional characters to move believably through their jungle environments. Look for more information on this technique in an upcoming Tarzan feature story (behind the scenes) by Animation Artist magazine. Disney's humor in Tarzan is very good. Instead of having to resort to fart jokes or annoying humor (like Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace and past Disney films), Tarzan brings a lot of original humor throughout the entire film that is genuine instead of forced. One of our favorite scenes is when the baboons are chasing Jane. Tarzan comes out of nowhere to rescue her. As soon as he gets near a safe area, Jane (who doesn't know him yet) yells put me down, put me down! He does. Then she sees all the baboons coming after her again and quickly yells pick me up, pick me up! Hopefully Disney will use this same type of humor in its future films. The innocence in the film gives it a fun-loving and light hearted atmosphere. Overall OpinionOverall, Tarzan is a great animated movie and a very strong effort by Disney. The first 30 minutes alone create such a strong enough story that the movie could have ended just before Clayton enters and actually been a better film. The development of the family bonds were very exceptional and the values that can be read from these aspects are very positive. Kids won't notice any of the problems with the film and adults may have mixed reactions (some won't care and for some it may ruin the movie). There's no doubt in our mind, however, that this will be a major summer hit for Disney with a lot of repeat business. Improving TarzanHad we been involved in the decision making process of Tarzan , here are a few things we would have done that, in our opinion, would have made the movie better. 1) Get rid of Clayton. He adds nothing to the film. Instead, develop Sabor as the villain that unexpectantly pops up a few times throughout the movie. Have the film end with Tarzan defeating Sabor and placing him before Kerchak. This was, by far, one of the most powerful aspects of the film and should have been saved until the end. And, of course, keep Jane, but develop her personality and motives much more. 2) Let the character that starts a song finish it! It was quite surprising when Kala (the mother gorilla of Tarzan) starts singing a song only to have her voice morph into Phil Collins voice! While many people may not catch this, hopefully it won't become an ongoing tradition by Disney. Leave the popular artists like Phil Collins for the soundtrack and non-character singing songs, but please let a character finish a song that she starts! 3) The death of Kerchak was not very emotional because there wasn't a bond between him and Tarzan. Kerchak completely breaks out of character to suddenly accept Tarzan and put him in charge of the gorillas even though Tarzan is responsible for all the havoc and brought trouble to the gorillas just as Kerchak predicted at the beginning of the film. So to have Kerchak (a very wise gorilla even though he was at odds with Tarzan) suddenly accept Tarzan (you came back) and put him in charge of the gorilla family was very unrealistic. Instead, the movie should have ended with Tarzan saving Kerchak's life from Sabor and being accepted by Kerchak even if it was through expressions\\\/emotions instead of words. This would have created a much more powerful ending. Another alternative is to develop his character as secretly wanting to accept Tarzan, but denying it throughout the film, only to finally accept him in the end. 4) Make Tarzan wiser. Tarzan developed strong instincts in the jungle and those instincts seemed thrown away when Clayton entered the picture. If Clayton must be in the film, Tarzan should have been able to see right through the charade (like the audience could) and should have been much more aprehensive, careful, and wise. Under no circumstances would Tarzan have put the gorilla family in danger by leading Clayton right to them. Tarzan should have seen Clayton as a human Sabor.

求 迪士尼动画电影 Tarzan 的英文介绍 简明

TarzanIn an African jungle, Tarzan learned to swing from the trees like a monkey. But Tarzan couldalso do things that none of the gorrillas in hisfamily could do. He could swing the hippos. Andhe could make things with his hands-like a spear that was as sharp as a rhino's horn.Tarzan wondered why he was so different. One day when Tarzan was wrestling with his bestfriend , Terk, the two tumbled from the nestinggrounds. Suddenly, a leopard jumped into the clearing! It was Sabor, the gorrilla's worstenemy.Quickly Tarzan and Terk ran back to thenesting grounds, with Sabor close behind.Roar! Kerchak, the great gorrilla leader, beathis chest. Protecting his family, Kerchak threwSabor, but the leopard attacked again. His sharpteeth injured the great gorrilla. Kerchak fell to the ground. He could not get up.Terrified , the gorrilas watched from the trees as the leopard moved in for the kill. But just then , as Sabor leaped as Kerchak, Tarzan swung down on a vine. With his feet, Tarzan knocked Sabor backward. Now the leopard was furious!Snarling and growling, Sabor faced Tarzan.Tazan had his spear ready and he lunged at Sabor.Rrarooww! screamed the leopard. The struggle continued as the two enemies scrambled up into the trees. With lighting speedthey twisted and turned, jumped and flew. Sabor leaped down at Tarzan from above. With the handle of his spear, Tarzanfended off the cat and threw him from the branches.Bravely, Tarzan jumped from the tree to face Sabor again. The leopard lunged at him, Knocking th spearhead off Tarzan's weapon. As he dodged Sabor's claws, Tarzan saw the spearhead in someunderbrush and dove for it. Sabor dove in afterhim. A hush fell ovor the gorrilla family. Terkwatched and waited, fearing for her friend. Then, at last, Tarzan climbed out of the underbrush, holding Sabor's limp body. He let out a cry of victory.OOOO-ooo-oooo ah----ah---ah! cheered the gorrilla family, but Kerchak did not join them. The big gorrilla turned sadly and began to walk away. He felt he had failed to protect his familyWith a solemn face, Tarzan approached his leaderThen he laid the leopard at Kerchak's feet as a sign of respect. As Kerchak looked at Tarzan, anew sound thundered through th jungle.Bang! bang! Gunshots blasted nearby. Quickly, kerchak ordered the gorrillas to retreat to safety. Tarzan started to move with them, thenchanged his mind. He was curious. Climbing high in the trees, he followed the new sound. What are these creatures? thought Tarzan, as he looked down at three humans. They did not look like animal he knew. He followed the one with the funny yellow fur. She was running after a young baboon. Pieces of paper fell from her handsTarzan picked one up. It was a drawing of the baboon.Suddenly, Tarzan heard the strange yellow-fured creature yell. A group of angry baboons was chasing her! Swooping down on a vine, Tarzangrabbed the creature. They sailed through the jungle with the baboonsclose behind. The yellowanimal kicked at the monkeys. She carried a strange sort of stick that opened . What an interresting weapon, thought Tarzan. Now he surfed along on the mossy branched of the highest trees. Baboons raced at them from all directions. Tarzan slid into a hollow trunk. The baboons slid in after them.Suddenly they were all falling, tumbling through the air.Ahhh! screamed the creature in Tarzna's arms,He held her with one hand and grabbed for a vinewith the other. Tarzan struggled to hold on. Gently, he placed the creature safely on a treebranch.Baboonss fell past them, all but two. The young baboon and his mother floated down, using the creature's funny stick as a parachute. The young baboon wanted the piece of paper that was stuck to the creature's fur. Tarzan grabbed it and handed it to him. Then he turned to the animal that had caused all of the trouble. She was a funny-looking creature. Moving closer, Tarzan stared at her face. It was smooth like his. Their eyes looked the same.Tarzan was puzzled, he looked harder. The creature did not have fur, after all. Instead shewas wearing fancy yellow cloth.
