东坡书院的书院规模
东坡坐北朝南，院门轩昂宏阔古雅别致上横书“东坡书院”4 字，为清代举人张绩所题。
书第二进，是长方形的“载酒堂”。
这里曾是苏东坡讲学、会友的地方，是东坡书院的主体建筑。
后墙上的两幅大理石刻，右边一幅为明代大文学家宋濂所题，左边一幅是明代大画家唐寅所画的《坡仙笠屐图》：苏东坡头戴竹帽，脚穿木屐，高卷裤管，身体向前倾斜，在村路上顶雨急归。
书院的最后一进是大殿，大殿正中有一组玻璃钢制作的塑像，是苏东坡和儿子苏过以及好友黎子云，殿上题匾为“鸿雪因缘”。
院内有一座池塘，有小桥从池塘上跨过，通向载酒亭。
载酒亭上层四角，下层八角，各角相错，呈欲飞之势。
亭上绘有反映苏东坡当年生活、写作、授徒情景的8 幅图画，生动形象。
载酒亭东西两侧，有红莲盛开的莲池。
在东坡书院两侧各有一座小跨院——东园、西园。
西园是座花圃，在花海中蠢立着苏东坡铜像。
东园里有一口井，叫钦帅泉，为明万历年间所挖，井水清凉甘冽。
书院中还设有展览馆、望京阁等供游人参观、游览。

他在北宋元丰年间，曾先后三次来到宜兴，对阳羡山水怀有眷恋之情。

1983年，丁蜀镇政府再修东坡书院。
