Time is the most valuable of all our possessions, but the most perishable as well. 节约粮食，珍惜生命——记节粮爱粮知识宣传活动顺利开展10月16日是世界粮食日，在这充满意义的一天，外国语学院宣传部联手浦东新区粮食属，于东食堂桥头举办了一次节粮爱粮主题宣传活动。
珍惜粮食是中华民族的传统美德，自古以来就有“粒粒皆辛苦”的诗文，而如今我们不少同学却对来之不易的粮食不予珍惜，浪费的现象随处可见。
在世界粮食日这天，我们外国语学院宣传部的同学，用自己的相机记录了最近同学们在学校食堂对粮食浪费的现象，并制作成展板，让我们每个同学对这个被自己忽视的问题加以重视，唤醒我们节粮爱粮的意识。
而浦东新区粮食属的工作人员，为了配合宣传也带来了自己精心准备的宣传海报、展板、签名版、演讲稿等等。
内容包含了当今世界粮食供给与贸易流通，我们国家对粮食的紧缺程度的数据资料，以及自古以来我们国家对粮食与农业的认识等等。
而在那块珍惜粮食的签名版面前，许多同学也签下了自己的名字，许下了节约粮食的承诺。
他们不辞辛劳的努力只是为了让我们珍惜身边的每一粒用汗水与辛劳所耕耘出来的生命的能源。
