雅典为奥林匹克回乡庆典的预算已接近了7O亿欧元，希腊在奥运会之后的财政赤字将可能达到GDP的4％。
本届奥运会仅安保费用就高达12亿美元，是悉尼奥运会的近5倍。
越来越多的人们意识到，奥运会将只属于大都市，中小城市无力也无缘举办现代奥运会。
尽管现代奥运会问题多多，伯西年奥运史就是一部历经坎坷而不衰的历史。
