垃圾分类，人人有责老师、同学们，早上好，今天我演讲的题目是“垃圾分类，人人有责”或许垃圾分类这一话题，不够朝韩冲突的消息来得那么及时新鲜，也不及讽刺日本的评论显得那么热血澎湃……但是，垃圾分类这一小小的行为却直接关系着我们身边的环境生态问题，这是我们每一个人的责任和义务，所以我也希望，通过我的演讲，大家能有新的感悟。
首先我想给大家做一个小小的测试，请判断我下面的说法是否正确。
用过的纸巾不能和纸张归为一类，不是可回收的垃圾，扔餐厨垃圾的时候，塑料袋要另外扔进可回收的垃圾桶……答案是：对的，因为纸巾遇水即溶，和陶器、烟盒一样，应算作“其他垃圾”的类别，塑料袋本身是可回收垃圾，不能扔进餐厨垃圾堆里。
其实，在我们的生活中，对于垃圾分类，还是存在着许多误区，垃圾分类的意识还不能深入民心。
广州市启动全民生活垃圾分类已近一年，提出垃圾分类已有十年，可目前仍然进度缓慢，即使在公共场所里添置了新的分类垃圾桶，但市民们还是不按分类随意丢弃垃圾，政府说市民的环保意识薄弱，市民又说对于垃圾分类的工作，他们几乎都表示支持，但政府的宣传不到位，也使他们对于垃圾分类的认识不够深刻，即使在居民分类好垃圾后，环卫工人也会把它们混在一起运走，同样也会使垃圾分类前功尽弃。

The answer is simple and obvious: the twenty-ninth Olympic Game will be held in Beijing in the year 2008. At that time, the whole world will focus their attentions on Beijing. As the hostess, Beijing will show her beauty to the guests from all over the world. the Beijing Olympic Games will be a GREen Olympic, a high technology Olympic, and a people’s Olympic. To achieve such a goal, however, it needs a lot of hard work. As middle school students in Beijing, we should take on more responsibilities for our capital city’s environment. Any action we take will affect the appearance of the city. Therefore, we should start with ourselves, act now, and make every possible effort. But how? You may ask. there are a lot of things we can do in our daily lives. We all know the fact that Beijing is frequently assaulted by sand storms every year. Forests and lands have been degraded by agricultural and industrial activities. To revive those desert lands is beyond our ability, but we can plant trees around our schools or in our neighborhood communities. If everybody does so, there will be a GREen Beijing and we will have a Green Olympic. I don’t know whether you’ve noticed that some students don’t want to walk to school; their parents have to drive them to school every day. But nowadays, the air is polluted with automobile exhausts. What can we do about it? Ride on your bike to school and enjoy exercise! It will not only have significant benefits for your health, but also help improving our environment. In addition, if you don’t drive cars, you will not go to the car wash. That will save large amount of water. If everybody does something, there will be a GREen Beijing and we will have a Green Olympic. Think it over, my friends. the things we can do are definitely not unrealistic. Although we cannot provide with a clean energy source, achieve a better sewage treatment system, or stop any industry from using hazardous chemicals and releasing hazardous wastes, we can save every drop of water and protect every patch of GREen. Make Beijing a more beautiful city, where green patches are everywhere and blue sky can be seen clearly above our heads. A GREen Beijing Olympic is asking for action. Act now.

Do you often use batteries? Then do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produce? And just one simple battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in his whole life. The facts and figures are amazing. So would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? If possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will be made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more. Sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem. We, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protect the environment. For example, our class set up a recycling center beside the back door, it is very useful. It is used to collect the waste paper and plastic bottles. In the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into the trashcan. At the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not so warm-welcomed. Later, more and more people were influenced by the others and joined this collecting activity. Gradually, all the students in our class form a good habit to protect the environment. 1Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen: Bidding for the Olympic Games, in a way, an image-creating undertaking. The first and foremost thing is to let people fall in love with the city at first sight, attracting them by its unipue image. What image does Beijing intend to create for itself once it has the opportunity to host the 2008 Olympics? It is known to all that the Beijing Municipal Government has already set the theme for the future games: New Beijing, Great Olympics. For me, the 2008 Olympics will be a great green Olympics illuminated with two more special colors, yellow and red. First, yellow is a meaningful color. The Yellow River is China's Mother River and the descendants of the Yellow Emperor. This color has a special origin and great significance for the Chinese people. Beijing is the capital of New China and previously the capital for nine dynasties in Chinese history. So, yellow will naturally add splendor to the 2008 Games. Secondly, the 2008 Olympics will be a red pageant.Red is another traditionally cherished color for the whole country. We adore red. On big occasions, we like to decorate our homes in red. It is the color of double happiness, representing joyous moments, auspiciousness, enthusiasm and prosperity. Red is one of the most suitable colors to describe the future of Beijing . Beijing , together with the whole country, is becoming more and more prosperous in the process of modernization. Should the 2008 Olympics be held in Beijing, the whole city will be a sea of red : the red torch,red flags, red flowers, and the radiant faces of millions of joyful people. Above all, the 2008 Olympics will be a green Olympics. Adding a green ingredient is essential in creating an appealing image, as we can't deny the fact that Beijing, at the moment, is not as green a city as what we like it to be. Striving for an environmentally appealing city has become a central task for all the citizens of Beijing. Big efforts have been made in pollution control, replanting and beautification of the city. According to a project entitled The Green Olympic Action Plan, between 1998 and 2007, Beijing, we have invested 100 billion RMB in preserving and protecting the environment. Some 12.5 million trees and over 1 million acres of grass will be planted along the Fourth Ring Road. By then, the city's green area will make up 40% of its total. The city will also dredge its reservoirs used as a water supply to Beijing residents, controlling industrial pollution and moving out the 200 factories presently located within the city proper.2 Improving Beijing's environment for the Olympics Ladies and gentlemen: Good morning! Today, the title of my speech is Improving Beijing's environment for the Olympics. Have you ever seen animals cry? Do you know what makes them cry? It's the polluted world, a dirty world, caused by our irresponsible behaviors, that makes those lovely animals cry. Many of us are smart enough to know how terrible it is to have a world without animals and plants. But some people still persist in making the same errors and harming the environment What's worse is that people are eating wild animals. We can't do that any more. We must learn how to protect the environment. If everyone is aware of protecting it instead of destroying it, the world can become cleaner, more beautiful, and more peaceful. The theme of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games is New Peking, New Olympic. It's the target owned by every Chinese. We should try our best to improve Beijing's environment, let's begin to act! First, start with the things around you. Don't throw rubbish onto the road. Don't talk loudly when you are outdoors. Turn off the water tap after using it. Go to school by bike or by bus instead of by private car. Save your pocket money and contribute to environmental protection organizations. Take me as an example, I take action in order to make our only world full of happiness. I pick up rubbish and throw it into a trashcan. I collect waste paper or bottles for recycling. I plant more trees and flowers, and so on.
