Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust . Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young . When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80. 岁月只能使皮肤起皱。
而一旦丧失生活的激情，则连灵魂枯老，使人生枯如死水，毫无活力。
60岁长者也好，16岁少年也罢，每个人的内心深处都渴望奇迹，都如孩子一般眨着期待的双眼，期待着下一次，期待着生活的情趣，你我灵魂深处都有一座无线电中转站------只有你我年轻，则总能听到希望的呼唤，总能发出喜悦的欢呼，总能传达勇气的讯号，总能表现出青春的活力……… 一旦青春的天线倒下，你的灵魂即为玩世不恭之雪、悲观厌世之冰覆盖；即使你年方20.其实你已垂垂老也。
而只要你青春的天线高高耸起，就可以随时接收到乐观的电波-----即使你年过八旬，行将就木，而你却仍然拥有青春，你仍然年轻。

我们每个人都要学习科学，传播文明，在享受新生活的同时，更要创造新生活，如今，科技产品的更新换代不断加快，可视电视、电脑上网、心脏起搏器，已经不算新鲜了。
从1901年发明的真空吸尘器，到人造地球卫星、载人宇宙飞船，科技在不同领域里显示出了强大的力量。
电子产业、通讯技术的日益普及，纳米技术、超导材料的广泛应用，不久的一天，也许就在你的餐桌上，会出现像太空青椒、人造牛排等生物工程食品。
学习科学技术，不仅仅是为了成为科学家，也是为了能适应生活，更为了能成为新世纪的主人，担起新世纪，为国家建设，为人类文明做出贡献。
新中国成立以来，我国的科技发展突飞猛进，人工合成胰岛素、断手再植、杂交水稻、爆炸原子弹和氢弹、发射人造卫星和飞船等等，这些令世人瞩目的科技成就，大大缩短了我国和先进国家的科学技术的差距，为我国的现代化建设注入了活力。
爷爷说“科学技术是第一生产力”，的确如此，科学为我们祖国的腾飞插上了翅膀。
主席曾对青年说，世界是你们的，也是我们的，但归根结底是你们的。
这句话，饱含了长辈们对我们的殷切期望。
如果说长辈们用辛勤的劳动建设了20世纪的祖国，那么，我们就应该以知识、以科学担起新世纪的重担。
同学们，我们正处于成长发育阶段，学习科学，让我们从小做起。
我们要努力学好各种文化课，因为这是一切学习的基础；同时，对各种适合我们小学生看的科普书籍、报刊，最好在课余多阅读一些；还应该积极动手搞各种科学小实验、小制作，写科学小论文等，培养对科学的兴趣。
