全国英语演讲大赛落幕厦门大学等获冠亚军2010-12-1614:30:32新华网北京12月12日电（璩静、付夏莉）由外语教学与研究出版社主的外研社杯全国英语演讲大赛决赛结果12日在京揭晓。
来自华东理工大学、厦门大学、浙江大学、四川大学、西北大学、江汉大学的六名学子从全国近百名选手中脱颖而出，分获冠亚季军。
记者获悉，大赛冠亚军将赴美国乔治梅森大学参加演讲夏令营，季军将赴韩国参加亚洲辩论营，冠亚季军指导教师也将赴英美国家参加学术会议和文化交流活动。
为考察选手英语语言能力、逻辑思维能力和综合文化素养，为期5天的决赛对赛制、赛题进行了创新：第一阶段为定题演讲，89名选手围绕我最关心的事的题目，展示了年青一代高校学子的人生观、世界观；第二阶段为即兴演讲。
选手们根据国际时政、社会热点、历史文化等演讲题目即兴发挥，同台竞技；第三、四阶段不仅为选手创造了陈述演讲、辩论演讲等互动平台，还新增了注重考察选手文化素质的综合知识抢答环节。
外语教学与研究出版社社长于春迟表示，继连续8年与中央电视台合CCTV杯全国英语演讲大赛后，外语教学与研究出版社联手教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会和教育部高等学校英语专业教学指导分委员会，合全国英语演讲大赛，旨在加强大赛权威性和学术性，为培养优秀英语人才、推动我国英语教学发展创造平台。
教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会主任委员、南京大学教授王守仁表示，全国英语演讲大赛自2002年创以来，已成为全国参赛人数最多、规模最大、水平最高的高校演讲比赛，在展示大学生风采、创造文化交流平台、促进大学英语教学发展等方面发挥了重要作用。
