Everyone has a dream. Now I want to say something about my dream. What is my dream? I often ask myself. In my mind, everyone shall have own dream. I think that having a dream means that we have an idea, and then we will do all the things to achieve the target. As long as we have a goal to be realized, we won’t be blind at least. 尾田荣一郎从小在漫画的熏陶中长大，上高中时尾田荣一郎就开始创作自己的漫画。
他的第一个漫画作品是用铅笔画在纸上的，有关海盗的故事。
尾田荣一郎发现自己在“海盗”这个题材上有太多可以发挥的地方，因此暗暗下定决心，要在日本第一漫画杂志《周刊少年jump》上连载他的海盗漫画。
为了锻炼自己的画技，尾田荣一郎先后给甲斐谷忍（《翠山警察故事》）、德弘正也（《不文泰山》）、和月伸宏（《浪客剑心》）这三位漫画家做过助理。
在给和月伸宏当助理期间，尾田荣一郎用闲暇时间创作了海盗题材的《Romance Dawn》，这部漫画虽然没能得以刊载，却成为《海贼王》的雏形。
如今《海贼王》单行本销量已经突破1亿本，尾田荣一郎也从和月伸宏的漫画助理一职登上了日本漫坛的颠峰。
他的《海贼王》被人评为“有望赶上《龙珠》的日本漫画界的希望
一部充满梦想绚丽色彩的热血动漫，引导许多意气风发的热血少年
