我们将在作战，我们将在海洋中作战，我们将来越大心和越来越强的力量在空中作战，我们将不惜一切代价保卫本土，我们将在海滩作战，我们将在敌人的登陆点作战，我们将在田野和街头作战，我们将在山区作战。

丘吉尔我们将战斗到底的中心思想
第二次世界大战尚未结束，丘吉尔所在的保守党就在1945年7月的大选中败给了在议会中得到393个席位的工党,保守党只得到了213个席位.丘吉尔的失败决非偶然,他是一位有远见的政治家,但他却没有看出战争即将结束时国内民情的变化,人们的注意力已经从战争转向了英国的未来.更多的人希望英国走福利国家的道路。
