Last but not least, doing a job that is not full-time can make many new friends. I think everyone knows that friendship is priceless. 襄阳市35中校长 齐光伟在襄阳教育界，市三十五中以优质的教学质量和良好的口碑享誉襄江两岸。
然而作为校长，我却更希望听到人们说，三十五中培养出的是具有健康体魄、阳光心态以及明显特长的学生。
我开始思考如何在课改背景下推进素质教育的问题，就这样，我把目光投向了演讲。
铺路搭台让学生领略演讲魅力我校扬帆演讲协会成立于2004年，取义为希望学生能搭乘演讲这艘小船在人生的长河中乘风破浪，扬帆远航。
时任《演讲与口才》杂志社副主编的蔡顺华老师应邀来我校做了一场有关励志的演讲，极大激发了学生们的斗志。
学校领导和语文教研组的老师们顺应素质教育的发展要求，结合学校打造“艺术校园”的办学特色，创造性地开办了演讲协会，吸纳了一大批热爱演讲、渴望实现自我的学生会员。
为了将演讲协会打造成学校特有的办学品牌，我校在有限的办公经费中挤出了20余万元用于配备专门的演讲教室和聘请专兼职教师。
每学期初，协会负责教师拟定学期演讲社工作计划。
