Every year,millions of people are killed,injured or left homeless.We catch sight of the battered wreckage,the terrified refugees,the miserable death on television nearly everyday. Natural disasters are becoming very rapidly an increasing threat for human’s surviving.The serious disasters happened recently years especially.[Pictures]China、Indonesia、Haiti、Chile and some other courtries suffered destructive earthquakes or natural disasters. Huge damage have been made either to the environment or to our human lives. However,the more we suffered,the more we felt the limitatiions of our human beings, powerless 、panic、tininess.Through destroy,we understand what’s counts most in our livies .If the prediction of 2012 came true,will your life be any difference?For thousands victims who lived with pains and catastrophe,do you have the courage to face life more cheerfully ? The Importance of Keeping Optimistic in front of difficulties Honourable judges, ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon! Today I would like to talk about the importance of keeping optimistic. When we encounter difficulties in life, we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads in the sand. Unfortunately, however, this attitude will do you no good, because if you will have no courage even to face them, how can you conquer them? Thus, be optimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give you confidence and help you see yourself through the hard times, just as Winston Churchill once said, “An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.” Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France. A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! 当灾难来临时，童心更可贵
2008年“5.12”四川汶川地震发生后，牵动着每一个中国人的心，不管近在咫尺，还是远隔千山，我们每一个人心中都有一个共同的心声：祝福远方的亲人，让我们团结起来，众志成城，抗震救灾
而我的孩子，一个还不到八岁的小女孩，也走进了这个充满力量、希望、爱心与真诚的队伍中。
自地震发生后，我就一直关注着这件事，一直在寻找渠道想尽自己的一点力量。
昨天中午在家看电视时也记了几个帐号，可是上班走时太匆忙，又忘拿了，下午感冒又加重了，没办法，取点药后我就回家休息了。
虽然躺在床上，可我还是一直在看电视直播，以便了解最新的情况。
一会孩子放学回来了，前天我们学校组织全体学生疏散时我就已经告诉了她地震的事。
孩子回来后也连忙和我一起观看新闻报道。
当看到一些学生被压废墟中时，孩子说：“妈妈，我想告诉他们，不要害怕
”我对女儿说：“他们能感受到的，他们不会害怕
”过了一会，电视中又报道了各个团体对灾区的捐赠情况，孩子又说了一句话：“妈妈，我想把我的压岁钱捐出来。
”孩子的话和我的想法不谋而合。
可是我又怕女儿是脑子一热，随口说说
就开玩笑地说：“那你一个月可不能买新衣服呀。
”孩子的回答让我这个做母亲的感到由衷的自豪与骄傲，孩子竟然这样回答：“妈妈，生命更重要，还是衣服更重要
”孩子的回答让我无语，我把她紧紧抱在怀中，坚定地说：“妈妈明天一早就带你去捐钱
” 今天上午快到八点时，我把孩子从教室中喊出，步行一起来到了民政局。
一打听，他们还没有正式接上级通知，可是当他们明白了孩子的来意后，立刻请示了领导，收下了孩子的一片心意。
孩子也由此成为了我们当地民政局接待的地震捐款的第一人。
当我们快要离开时，又有几个爱心人士来到了这里，他们都是迫不及待地匆匆赶来，都想早一点把自己的爱心传递到灾区，送去自己最真诚的祝福，希望灾区的人民早日脱离苦难，也一起在表达一个心愿：众志成城，抗震救灾
当灾难来临时，童心更可贵，爱心在涌汇，汇成了一条满怀深情厚意的、奔流不息的爱的长河，奔向四川，奔向汶川，奔向需要我们帮助的每一个灾区亲人的心中，传达着一个共同的心声： 众志成城，抗震救灾
